What Leow actually said was "You're not losing your titles. You're just losing a fight." ****ING DISGUSTING. Unless there was somehing seriously wrong with Kelly that made them want to take a safety first approach, Arum and Dunkin should start reminding Kelly that they told him to get rid of Jack Leow a long time ago.

you take away jack loew though and you start taking away part of his support base that builds his blue-collar, average joe, mental stronghold (which has admittedly been pillaged tonight already)

Most successful fighters need to have an abundance of confidence; but hubris is the downfall of alot of guys who start to believe their own press clippings. If Jack was like that today, I can only imagine the inflating and misguiding of Kelly's ego and priorities that took place in camp. Never in my life have I seen Hopkins treated as a stay busy fight, to be overlooked for the next guy- but that's exactly what it seemed like last night. When Hopkins decided he wasn't going to be knocked out, there was literally no backup plan. Considering how JL talks the most **** out of anyone in that camp, it's on him to make sure his fighter's prepared for every situation.

It would've been a tough enough fight with proper management; without it? An impossible one. Actually telling him not to worry because he still had the belts ****ing iced it for me.

I think it's quite obvious that Kelly needs a new trainer now. He's outgrown Leow and would benefit with a change of direction. I couldn't hear everything Leow was saying because I watched at a sports bar but what I could hear didn't sound like anything that could really give Kelly a spark. Leow sounded like a novice fight fan with the advice he was giving to Kelly last night.
BTW Kelly will be back I still don't see anyone beating him at 160.

As a fan of boxing I care. The way the fight was promoted is if Hopkins will get KO'd like he was guaranteed to lose anyway and a possible KO is very likely so they are it up right there and completely discredited him and forgot what he man can deliver even at 43.

    Plan A - Jab
Plan B - Double the Jab
Plan C - Use your high workrate like Calzaghe
Plan D - Hit him on the nuts

Don't know about the rest but I'm sure it goes all the way to Z.

I think you can take this subject back to the 2nd JT fight as well. Remember when Kelly couldn't make the double jab work? What did Leow keep telling him? "Double the ****ing jab." It has to make one wonder if it's Kelly who is limited to fighting in one style, or Leow who is limited to training in one style.

Yeah they were about as racist as the thread starter who assumes someone is racist based on an argument. The funny thing is that you're the real racist you're just too stupid to realize it.

Well I watched the fight with some very casual boxing fans and they where sure that Hopkins would win and happy the older guy did but they where really disgusted and confused at the tantrum Hopkins showed after the last bell.

PAv can't change. If you look at what Hop did last night, it didn't come down to Hops comments or Loews comments. Last night a boxer exposed a slugger plain and simple. The faster fighter beat the slower fighter plain and simple. Hop made PAv miss his set up punch which is the jab, and PAv had no plan B. PAv has to do what he does better, because he can't change. Loew if anything truly underestimated Hop based off the Cal and J.T fights imo, and truly didn't think Cal was good as he was. Loew and PAv definitely underestimated Hops skills. Hop used basic boxing skills. He was comfortable in the ring, didn't look tired one bit, and had his balance in tact.

The only thing he could have told him was go marciano on his ass. Hit him anywhere above the waist you can. Stop head hunting or even accurate body punching. You haven't got time to set them up. He's too fast and deceptive. Hit him on the shoulders, arms, side of the head, sides of the body, hit him on the back of the head and neck when he turns away from you. Take a penalty if necessary. Punch constantly at anything that is available and hope to tire the old fox out. Kelly would probably get K.O'ed doing this as he is no Rocky but it was his only chance. But then what do I know. I'm no Jack Leow.
