Pavlik's next opponent, 6 or 7 STILL in the mix.

Abraham has to fight Marquez first but The deal is already in the works Pavlik to fight Mora or Duddy then Abraham. As for pretty boy Kessler more money in a fight with Kessler in med 2009 when the Dutchman has a few wins under belt and has had more air time on HBO.:deal

Duddy has never been beat but did not look good in his last win and needs too look good this Sat and not get cut to get back in mix with Pavlik. There's talk that Pavlik vs Abraham might be at the Garden it would be great if we saw Duddy fight Rubio on the undercard. Duddy needs a win over a top contender and Duddy vs Rubio would be a WAR!:bbb :thumbsup

I believe Abraham is not on this list because he just recently fought and may not be willing to fight again in September, or because he (Pavlik) would like to have a shown down with him at the end of the year. I would guess the same for Kessler not being on the list because he too recently fought. Duddy has a fight tomorrow (Go John!), although he usually has fights back to back. Paul Williams is just ludacris, Kelly would take so much sh*t for even thinking about that as a possible opponent (although this is his trainer speaking). I don't see why a Hopkins/Pavlik fight would be ideal, B-Hop should just retire now. Sergio Mora just moved down to 154 and too much power for Kelly ....... A Winky Wright fight would be nice, but the guy has been on a long layoff now and I doubt would take the fight. I agree with Vincent that a Rubio/Duddy fight would make sense, but not Rubio/Pavlik. Kelly's camp better make the right move or they're going to hear it from the haters as well as the fans.

Arum likes to mention everybody that has contacted him about a fight. I remember Don King saying a fight was possible according to some very non chalant remark made by Arum. This board EXPLODED for a day or two on the news. I think a lot of this is just promoters doing each other a professional 'courtesy' by making it sound like they are doing their jobs. Keeps all interested parties happy.

I think Hopkins is HBO's idea. See who beats him worse since Joe won't fight Kelly? Just my guess.

HBO has Abraham/Pavlik for January. Won't move it up. Kessler is still SMW.

I don't understand why some of you guys don't understand that Pavlik vs Kessler needs a bit of a build up to make it worth while for both the fighters, promoters and HBO:nono Lets not forget.....
    # 1 Calzaghe vs Kessler did not do to well in ratings:-(
    # 2 The Last we saw of Kessler here in the USA he lost:verysad
    # 3 The middleweight title has more prestige then the super middleweight title so Kelly is going stay 160 for as long as he can make weight.:bart
If Kessler had been smart he would have taken the fight with Miranda then right now we would all be talking about Pavlik vs Kessler and not Pavlik vs Abraham;)
I read that Kessler might be on HBO soon lets hope he is in there with some US based fighters like Jeff Lacy or Allan Green he gets KO wins over those guys then we have a build up to a fight with Pavlik:good

I agree, at middelweight that is the big fight. Abraham is now known by the American fans so it should be the biggest draw of their respective careers.

Are you serious, if old man Joe can eek out a decision over Hopkins, I'm sure Pavlik can handle him no problem.

It would be a very stupid move, Williams still has great options at Welterweight to ruin everything this soon.

What do you mean "Am I serious?"

Are we supposed to think Pavlik is way better than Calzaghe now? :nut

Guys on here have lost their mind with Pavlik.
