You really think Hopkins is too much for him? What does Hopkins throw, 10 punches a round?? I think Kelly can handle that - WOW.
Hopkins has the style to beat him, and Pavlik would have to show a different dimension, especially inside I can't be bothered going into the intricacies of it, I don't think I'm going to change your mind given what I've just read :nut
I promise you I'm not alone in my thinking that Hopkins is not too much for Pavlik to handle as you say. Hopkins doesn't have the style to beat Pavlik now, Hopkins would fight not too lose, which may frustrate Pavlik temporarily - Hopkins has the style to beat him - Yeah:think
It was Goosen who came to Top Rank offering a fight. A low ball offer at that. Dan Rafael mentioned in his chat today, Goosen offered Top Rank 2 million dollars for Pavlik to fight Williams, when Pavlik made 2.5 million to fight Gary Lockett. Goosen is making it seem like they turned down the deal out of fear, when it was a shitty deal to begin with and a fight that does nothing at all for Pavlik.
Just because Hopkins made your boy Slappy Joe look like garbage does not mean the old man stands a chance with a real fighter like Pavlik:nono **** Joe looked so bad is his last fight that I give even Roy can't take a punch Jones a shot at beating his English ass
I wouldn't be alone in thinking Hopkins takes him to prison, but so what? I just can't be bothered debating extensively with somebody that is so delusional as to infer that Pavlik is levels above Calzage, by stating that if Joe beats him its absolutely no problem for Pavlik.
Too bad that Slappy Joe is such a yellow dog that we never see Pavlik fight your boy and put too rest the Calzaghe myth We will just have too make do with Pavlik kicking Dutchman's ass sometime in 2009:yep
Which Dutchman? Didn't know they had any good fighters. If they do, they probably fight in the middleweight division, and are being lined up to fight Pavlik as we speak.
Why would it need build up? Is boxing governed by unknowledgable mainstream boxing viewers or knowledgable boxing businessmen? I really thought that one of Americas true qualities were that they could sell sand in Sahara. #1 That is just sad, no wonder the rest of the world is taking over this sport. #2 Boxers looses all the time. It never stopped Hearns, Hagler or even lesser fighters. Anyone with eyes saw a great fight. #3 From a historical pov you are correct. But MW is as thin as can be, and no wonder most are jumping ship from that division. Since then did Miranda become a gatekeeper for big fights? The guy has beaten no one. And why should Kessler ***** himself for HBO fighting people who are rated far below him, just to have a fight with Pavlik? If what you are suggesting is even half true on the situation in USA, then it's no wonder that so few people find interest in boxing. In the old days...
Was about to state the same . I think he should change the name from Viking Warrior to the Flying Dutchman. Davey Jones here we come...
I'm trying to think of the last respectable fighter they had. Too busy getting drunk and throwing arrows at a board on the wall.
Is it sick I would like to see Pavlik/Duddy more than the others? I would like to see Mora get his ass knocked out but the fight would be a bore I am afraid.
As long as it was turned down. And yes, that fight would make no sense for Pavlik, and he would gain nothing, except for those people who don't look at weightclasses.
Dutchman....Dan.... whats the difference there all just Eur-0-peans too me Hey whats the matter with middlewights the division of Robinson Monzon and Hagler better too King of that then the ******* division the Super middleweights:yep
