Well, I like Pavlik. I don't like some of the things that went on in his camp is all. I'm actually happy to see Pavlik come back and had really worried for him as far as whether or not he'd come out of the woods physically. With his long layoff and Abraham and Taylor's having moved up, I think we all saw just how much of the division's burden was on Pavlik's shoulders and could see the frustration with all the unnecessary mud slung at a guy who was just trying to get well. It's been a bad year for the middleweight division but I think this month with the Williams/Martinez fight and the champ coming back, the clouds are clearing.
I think Williams will be impressed with Pavlik's power, Hell, even a light hitting Martinez who did not have time to train hurt Williams over and over again!
I still think Bronco McKart described Pavlik's power and technique better than any fan, journalist, trainer, or fighter ever has, or ever will. "It's not that he hits ya that hard. It's just that everything he lands has somethin' on it."
Im actually unsure of who you are trying to critisize here or what point you are trying to make , so ill refer to the title in my answer : Pavlik is a volume puncher , not strictly a puncher but by no means feather fisted !!!!!!!!! Thats plain obvious for any boxing fan with half a boxing brain !!!!!!
Lucian, is not going down to 160 to fight him. Kelly, would have to go up again, and would not have a size/strengh advantage.
So Kelly should move up and face someone that has a size and strength advantage over him? Sure, why not. He will move up, but lets wait until he does so he can do it properly.
