    Calzaghe was offered the chance to fight a legend in Jones and took the fight!! Pavlik is doing exactly the same....so why does he continue giving Joe ****?? People give Calzaghe crap for aparently not beating anyone of any stature...who apart from Jermaine Taylor has Kelly Pavlik beaten of any stature, oh B minus fighter Edison?? I hope Hopkins does him just to show how stupidly hyped up the guy is!! Well done Kelly you beat Gary Locket, your defo my number 4 P4P, joke

    Erm who else could Pavlik of fought? Joe chose to fight Jones out of all his options, with Calzaghe and Abraham out of the picture Pavlik doesnt have much choice at the moment.

    Calzaghe clearly ducked Pavlik. Pavlik can say whatever he wants about him. Calzaghe isn't shy to call out when fighters "allegedly" duck him.

    Whoa,slow down there dude;Lockett was mandatory and he wantd Joe BEFORE the Jones/Hops fights were signed.

    They are 2 of our finest warriors and ambassadores and his badmouthing of Joe is part of the hype politics game.Most including Joe do it.Give them a chance to get these Roy and Hops over with,THEN lets see what happens.

    Pavlik may well be over hyped but there is no avoiding the fact that Calzaghe has been ducking him. Calzaghe has called out Pavlik twice on TV over the past 12 months and then when Pavlik gave him the come on Calzaghe said that he had to prove himself first to get a shot. This is probably the only time in history that a fighter has ducked the man that he has called out, which IMO is quite an acrobatic feat even for a serial ducker like the slapmeister.

    The difference is that Pavlik is 26 and Joe is 36, yet Pavlik's resume is already almost as good as Joe's.

    The ridiculous quote is Cal calling out Kelly then retracting it, firing his promoter who wanted this fight, and then signing on with Jones.

    Take your pick, he had several ridiculous quotes.

    The point i'm trying to make is that why shouldnt joe go after the legends of his era whilst there still around, he wont be able to do it in 2 or 3 years time. And no chance am i believeing that Pav has no other options, there are plenty of suitable candidates to face him at middle. not falling for that one bit. People believe boxers comments like they are gospel, there only after money at the end of the day and in all fairness all pav is doing is engineering a potential fight with calzaghe, joe has even said he will more than likely shelve plans for retirement to fight him. to keep saying joe is scared and ducking everyone and anyone is ludacrus. Hopkins ducked him 6 years ago, but thats forgotten in the american boxing fans eyes.

    Abraham and Marquez are tied up, Winky seems to want a billion pound for a fight, what else could he do? Moving up to 170 to fight someone like Hopkins takes some balls, especially given he could of just fought a nobody as a tune up for the expected Abraham fight early next year.

    ok they may be tied up but what about Sturm, Sylverster hell why dont he fight some of those blown up welters that jermain had, seems to feed the american hype jobs for a while longer.

    Yeah sure fighting hopkins, that means you must have balls instantly, christ but calzaghe, he permanently doesnt have balls, gutless loser, shizz should have remembered that

    i'll say it like this ... joe c was a bit iffy for takin the jones jr fight BUT .. pavlick didnt make his stance any better once he choose to fight hopkins ..surely out of the 50 some fighters between 154-168 he coulda found SOMEONE worth a damn instead of a senior citizen

    just think when hopkins shows up to fight he'll get a deal on parking due to his age ! ...
