i have not read the thread so am starting of with a blank canvas just the opening thread title to go bye.

but i can guess how it has gone .

mora is the type of opponent that pavlik will not get credit for.
but he is an awkward spoiler of a fighter who if it goes rounds will not make pavlik look good and will pose him problems.

a no win fight for pavlik , just like it was for forrest and if it takes place IMO it will be poor matchmaking on arum`s part.

but as a contest to vary pavlik`s look at different kinds of opposition it is a worthwhile excersize and one i would give pavlik credit for .

people get carried away with ko`s and sometimes fights like mora would help pavlik if he was then to take on say calzaghe.

i know if mora went the distance and gave pavlik a few problems , haters would jump onm pavlik, my guess is they have already before a punch would have been thrown.

    but this is wrong.
all fighters have styles that will not suit them.
mora has the type of style that might give pavlik problems and if pavlik shows the abilty to adapt and win and solve mora out, he should be given praise and not critisism.
a win by ko IMO would be impressive.

Team Pavlik and Top Rank both clearly stated that Joe was the only person Kelly would move up ahead of schedule for. Since Joe misplaced his balls, Kelly won't move up until next year. His next fight will be a whoever the WBC installs as his mandatory.

its funny how you criticize pavlik...when hatton had also fought stiff competition and mora is way better than most WBU mandatories:rofl

WTF? - Give the guy a break, there's no-one out there for him at the moment + if the Mora fight is signed he will be facing a World champ (whether you rate Mora or not). *Or do you actually expect him to fight Godzilla next :)

Mora is not really bad. He is decent, but I agree that after this Pavlik needs to step up again.

Kessler, Winky, Abraham or even Bute would present really good fights.

Sturm and Mundine would be good fights.

Everybody says, lets give the man a break:

The same break European fighters always get?

How many said it was ok for Calzaghe to fight Manfredo?

I know. Americans' doublestandards are well established. However, let's give the man a break :yep

kessler will be available for a pavlik fight..

for once in a lifetime, mogens palle was right, and this is a quote out a tv interview he made, just after the sartison fight.

"this fight will be without me(haussler), i will not be a part of it, and i allready had contact with my lawyers."

and then he said some other things aboyt haussler being beaten by mads larsen and other fighters who couldnt carry kessler jockstrap:yep
and he would simcerely be concerned for hausslers health, as he would only be a punching bag..:deal

and as i recall there have been specualtion regarding, that haussler isnt really interrested in the fight, but only in some step a side money. but i cant remember if it was from the same interview or the sports news.

I want Häußler vs. Perdoma for the vacant WBA title. The world awaits.

Well, there I don't agree. Bute is actually fighting Andrade next and that is a really good fight.

Better than Lockett and little Mora for sure - despite the fact that Mora got a belt at a lower division from a complete noname beltholder.

You are German. What do you think Haussler has to do to beat Kessler?

We are looking forward to your insightful analysis. :good

He should be heavily ridiculed if this happens. The same way Kessler got killed for fighting Sartison, Calzaghe for Manfredo and Bika (who is actually pretty good).

In hindsight Sartison and Bika are good fighters. Manfredo is not. How did
    Mora vs Manfredo turn out?

Mora is a lot better than Sartison and Manfredo. I don't have a problem with Bika, I think he's a solid veteran. Anyway, Mora just won a 154 lb. title against against a very good fighter in the form of Vernon Forrest. Sartison and Manfredo will never win a world title. Sartison will never be heard from again and Manfredo couldn't even beat a washed up, inactive Lacey. Furthermore, Pavlik is not backing out of a more interesting fight in order to fight for a vacant "regular' title a la Kessler.
