That's fine, but it would still be a competitive fight. The point is that Sartison probably isn't going to middleweight, so it's likely that he'll never be heard from again.
Not really. I think Sartison deals with him mid to late, he had the pop to stumble Kessler if not hurt him, Lockett is much smaller with a worse chin and virtually no defence. We all know how easy it is to connect with Lockett. Anybody that underestimates how poor this guy is in world terms need to see his fight with Tsypko.
Yes, I think Sartison vs Duddy would be fairly competitive. I think Sartison probably stops Duddy around round 8 or so after being up 5-3 on the cards. If it goes to the judges (which is possible) I think Sartison would take it 8-4 or 7-5. If he stays at SMW will he then be heard from again? Hmm... Yeah, I actually think he will. Imo. he gave Kessler the toughest test apart from Calzaghe and Mundine. About on par with Andrade. Based on that I think we will hear from Sartison again. Sure he didn't win a round against Kessler, but neither did Andrade or any other fighter except two. That in inself is not disqualifying.
We're talking about the same Kessler that rarely loses a round. I just think that Kessler had trouble getting up for this guy. And Tsypko is a long and lanky southpaw who should have had a draw against Lacey too. Sartison and Lockett are the same height. Don't get it mixed up. Lockett doesn't have much speed, but neither does Sartison. These are two okay guys that can beat some lower level competition, but they will never be champs. Imagine if Sartison fought Kelly Pavlik or Author Abraham. That's two KOs.
No it wouldn't. I still don't think you really comprehend exactly what level Lockett is. Just in British terms I don't think he beats Elcock, Eastman, Macklin, Moore, maybe Barker and I think Rhodes would have a decent chance avenging his defeat to Lockett.
Sure, but so what. The evidence thus far suggests he'd put in something more credible than Lockett, take a punch, take a knee, lunge in, take a knee And it wasn't Tsypko. I'm getting them mixed up, and giving Lockett FAR too much credit for getting his face mangled. It was some nobody Tsarenko, who has 19 losses including 5 in his last 5 fights :rofl
Nothing wrong or horrible there if you know what the real plan is. They're planning to have Abraham fight Marquez and Pavlik vs any decent opponent on the same card to set up the big fight if both come out victorious. Abraham has to fight his mandatory so Pavlik staying active isn't a horrible idea and on the same card.
That's ok imo. Just Mora on his own is a bit of a weak match, but if they are on same card as Abraham and they then meet in the fight after then I think its ok and no need to take any risks then.
Oh Oh I get it someone goes a few rounds with the Young woman that is Mikkel Kessler and they mix it with worlds top middles Come on Duddy would kill Sartison:scaredas: And I love the way a club fighter like Andrade beats Pavlik just because he can't be floored by your light hitting pretty boy dutch man:-(
The voice of reason!:deal When I first read that this Pavlik/Mora fight might happen, it disgusted me. I said something like; "Pavlik needs to call Golden Boy RIGHT NOW." However, now that I've thought about it rationally I realize that, although it's a crappy fight, It works in with the over-all plan. Top Rank and Team Pavlik have been on a mission to make Kelly the undisputed champ for a long time. The other two belt holders can not very well drop everything just because Pavlik has a spot open on his calendar. There has to be some stay-busy fights, and the talent pool is so shallow at 160 that stay-busy fights end up being mis-matches. As for those who are screaming for a Kessler fight, is Mikkel going to come down to 160? I think not! Team Pavlik and Top Rank said a long time ago that Kelly will most likely move to 168 sometime after the AA fight next January. In other words spring of 2009 at the earliest. They also made it clear that the only person Kelly would move up ahead of schedule for was Calzaghe. So, unless Kessler can make 160, STFU about the robo-dane!
Not gonna happen till Pavlik moves up. He was willing to jump up and take on another undefeated because he knew Joe was going to retire soon.
