How good is Pavlik's footwork? I raise the question because, looking away from a KO or TKO, I believe it will be the deciding factor in judging whether Pavlik can actually beat Kessler (or Calzaghe).
In what way has he shown himself not to be physicaly tough enough? Also you did not answer the question of the thread.
His footwork is very underestimated. He moves well enough to get out of the way, block, or roll with punches, but not too much that it affects his stamina.
Pavlik's footwork is generally under-rated, but like his defense, it is not spectacular. However, I do like the way he calmy inches forward behind the jab, and how he moves side to side to make sure the opponent is nearly always smack in front of him.
Not on the level of a great counterpuncher who's constantly on the move like Hopkins, but far superior to a stationary slugger like Abraham.
