It was almost as good as Fury vs McDermott 1 and 2.

Assuming these two can progress, I think they should pencil in a date for a rematch later on, so they can cash in and get a larger audience. It's in Wolak's best interest too imo, to move on if he can to a higher profile fight. From a fan's best inerest though, an immediate rematch would be best.

You're basically becoming a caricature of yourself, discovering depths shallower than Relentless.

Wolak aint gonna "progress". He's gonna eventually fight a top guy, and get the ever living **** kicked outta him.

At least relentless posts some decent stuff on the training board IIRC, this guy's just a straight up troll.

Wolak was outboxed by Ishe Smith. And he was outslugged by Delvin Rodriguez. It's safe to say that Wolak blows.

Very well said, good breakdown. Delvin fought just about perfectly against Wolak (well, other than running I suppose), Wolak needs to work on accuracy/sharpness.

Wolak needs to improve though. In terms of accuracy, I felt this fight was a step backwards for him. Comparing this to the Foreman fight, Wolak's energy was on par but his effectiveness wasn't. Of course, DR did a lot of neat little things inside (shoulder turns, tieing up with arms, pushing off, remaining relaxed while being smothered and waiting for an oppurtunity to create space) to make this happen, so all the credit goes to him and his excellent preparation for this fight.Hopefully Wolak can do with this fight what he did after the Smith fight and make this a good learning oppurtunity.

Rodriguez, while previously a 147 fighter, looked good with the weight at 154. He was strong and conditioned enough to keep forcing Wolak off of him for an instant to snipe off a combo. Foreman wasn't, he tried moving but Wolak is damn good at cutting off the ring.

wolak has good raw tools. yeah improvement would be good. if Rodriguez had some more power or if the doc/ref weren't as forgiving as far as that injury and allowing 'extra smothering' he would've been stopped

 there's always going to be one...
Swelling like that doesn't often stop a fight I think, it goes down without threatning the eye or anything and it wasn't bleeding. Besides losing depth perception, something Wolak doesn't need with how close he fights, you retain about 80% of your vision with one eye closed.
