That's very cynical. If you've seen Wolak a bit, he has indeed progressed after his first loss. Like Atlas said, its tempting to sometimes think a relentless swarmer like Wolak is a dumb fighter and there's not much more room to create anything else, but if you look at his game carefully, there is some thinking and ring intelligence that's there. Let's not forget Wolak has zero amateur experience so he's still learning on the job. I'd say he hasn't quite peaked yet. We will see what adjustments he can make after this fight.

Wolak's movement on the inside is very smart. Pulls down a bit if someone comes under the hook, uses his shoulders/arms to push the opponent around enough to get him a good angle or to get them against the ropes. Very smart work.

i don't know if docs are supposed to consider your fighting style when deciding whether you can see out of an eye. even if u have 80% vision, a lot CAN happen with that last 20%. i'm just saying i think fights have been stopped for similar/less obstruction

 I don't think the docs consider that, I'm just saying Wolak hardly needs depth perception. It's not like he's bouncing on the outside, popping 1-2s. The docs were right to let them go.

Yes, but what a shame that would have been in this case, considering the type of fighter involved. Honestly, tonight all the judgements involved (from the ref, to the judges to the doc) were close to ideal to what you want to see in every fight. God I love Smoger. He's like the referee equivalent of Wolak.

not saying fight shoud've been stopped necesarily, but he's a little lucky imo. great fight no doubt. i like to see a little less roughhousing allowed cuz i like seeing clean shots and a little less wrestling, but i understand what you're saying

The reffing in that fight was perfect, no need to step in and break them up

i hear you but it's not just depth perception. if you're left eye is closed, you can easily miss some important action from the opponent's right side. as i said i'm not sure the fight should've been stopped, i'm just saying it could have been

i don't think breaks would've helped much cuz wolak would just come right back head first trying to pin after each break. i'm just saying i prefer a lil less of that ****, but to each their own

You have considerable overlap in your vision between eyes. And the way he had his head tucked against Rodriguez with a glove up meant he wasn't in a lot of danger.
I guess it's just a difference of opinion, I see no reason to have a qualm about Wolak's inside work vis a vis his bit of holding-pushing. It's effective and smart but doesn't disrupt the flow of the fight.

No rematch needed. Wolak was revealed to be just what he was. Really no where near the top fighters.

Delvin beat the the crap out of him tonight. If little Delvin could do this to him, what would the top MWs do?

Whatever happens, no way should Wolak be given a title fight.

vision - definitely overlap but anyone will have a blind spot on the peripheral side. yeah the way wolak was compensating was pretty good (tho he got tagged good a couple times late i'm pretty sure he didn't really see till too late) i'm just saying objectively there's some danger

it's all good, again great fight. i think the pushing and roughing disrupts the flow a bit (pretty sure that wolak's intent was exactly to disrupt dr's flow that way) but not too many complaints:good

I mostly meant it doesn't disrupt it like straight up clinching and forcing the ref to break you does. The fight keeps going, though I see what you mean :thumbsup
, lots of these going out tonight

Good fight. People will pay more money for the rematch. Why not?
