Yesterday, President Obama came on LIVE for his 1st Press Conference, and unlike George W. Bush, actually answered questions directly. It was about the pathetic state of our Economy, and the soaring unemployment rate.

And still, we the Boxing Fans/public are the ones getting hit the hardest. I, for one, am not paying 8 red cents for the Fight Tonite, and I am as hardcore as you get. We are being charged 50 dollars, for what in all reality is a World Championsip Boxing fight, like Hatton Malinaggi, or Taylor-Lacy.

I encourage all here, to NOT pay for the PPV, by whatever means necessary, whether Sopcast, or other "methods".....I am boycotting it altogether. In less than 30 days, there is another massive fight, this one, I have mixed feelings about. I HATE paying 54.95 to make Oscar more rich than he is, but it he loses, the look on his face as he is not declared the winner, is to me, PRICELESS. Still, if I can find some pals who are watching it, I may just stroll into the Fight Party at about 840pm, like Swiper from Dora the Explorer.

I agree that this fight tonight doesn't belong on PPV and that there are far to many PPV's. Roy's confidnece is gone and Joe's power is gone. What does this mean? Your 50 dollars LIKLEY gets you lopsided 12 round mismatch with no knockdowns, moderate action at best and Joe by UD.

    Why's that?

    1. The chimp's still in office.

    2. He's arguably the worst President in American history.

Like it or not, because of the latter, you're going to hear people take shots at Bush for the rest of your natural life.

With that being said. I don't know why the **** this fight is on PPV, but I'm still going order it. Luckily, the recession hasn't hurt my pocketbook one bit. :D

Jack, I think you make some valid points. It befuddles me that Calzaghe and Jones would not have learned from Jones' fight with Trinidad earlier this year. They are vastly overestimating what the market is for this fight. Certainly, any boxing fan is intrigued by the match, but believing that demand would match the levels of such exorbitant prices is outrageous. This is especially the case when, due to both fighters eschewing traditional promotion firms, the undercard is absolutely horrendous.

Over the years, I have ingenuously held that eventually promoters would become aware of the diminishing market share they possessed and attempt to improve it through a limiting of pay-per-view shows and an investment into future value through broader exposure of young talent. However, that expectation has been routinely dashed. In fact, it seems that the opposite trend has ensued. Promoters continually alienate their consumer base by making it so expensive for a fan to follow all the bouts, and then they react to this problem by making even more shows pay-per-view in order to increase short term revenue.

Here's an idea, just quit boxing and get the hell out of the forum. The sport is better off without worthless garbage picking losers like yourself that encourage other fans to not watch certain fights as you have done for the past 4 big fights this year and upcoming ones simply because you hate a certain fighter. Get over it, Oscar is rich and you will never be, live the few years you have left with peace and avoid being a clown.

Thank you and have a great day.

"Negative, Ghostrider, the Pattern is Full" I will now, and will always continue to use ESB as a Forum for my anti PPV views. Oscar may be rich, but his value as a man is diminished since he lost to Tito Trinidad, and in the way he lost, so that is more important to me, than his bank account. I will live the years I have left, on CNN, the USA Today, the Editorial Section of RING Magazine, the New York Post and NY Times, the LA Opinion, the Las Vegas Review, the newspapers in Phoenix and Orlando, stating my views, and when I can, calling the promoters on their ****. A local promoter and myself are already mortal enemies, as I called him on his **** in front of a lot of people and press, and to this day he hates my ass.

Dont worry, it's attitudes like yours that fuel the Hatred within Jack Presscot, like a Black Man running for President, baby!:hi:
