im not sure what you guys have against ppv's.. i agree it should only be for BIG FIGHTS and i think canelo angulo was ont he fringe of not being a ppv worthy event if it wernt coupled with a great undercard

but come on guys ppv events ? if you have a few mates that enjoy boxing its a great way to spend your day, invite mates over for a BBQ chip in 10 or 15 each for ppv and you got yourself a ****ing awesome day

Spinks vs. Ali rematch drew 80 million viewers primetime on ABC. I bet HBO/Showtime hasn't had 80 million viewers in the last 5 years combined

I don't like it and I don't buy it. And WTF you talking about YOU are all for making money? YOU don't get anything out of it, you are actually getting ripped off of your money.

I didn't say anything about soccer, you dumb ****. High caliber boxers make good 7 figure paydays even when they are on regular HBO and Showtime. YOu are probably one of those pathetic *******s that likes to brag about how much money Mayweather makes and pretend like you get a piece of it because you are a fanboy.

PPV is the best way to ensure boxers get paid properly (as high as possible), if you have a problem with that. Then you hate boxing, as maintaining the highest paid athletes position is the only way to keep recruiting youth into....the hurt game

I agree PPV is BS. Other sports don't need it so I don't see why boxing does. It get's on my nerves that I pay for subscription sports channels but then have to miss or pay extra for certain fights. If the biggest and best fights were on normal channels instead of PPV, maybe more people would see these fights and become boxing fans.

yep, ive been saying that forever now about the # of belts. on any given day there can be 7 or 8 champions per weight division if you count all the interim crap as well as the WBA having 3. it should be a joke on the front page of every newspaper but since no one cares it rarely gets mentioned

In Mexico, we see all the pay per views for free the same night. With advertising and all, but it's one of the things i love about the local tv channels.
