I'm not talking about fights that were supposed to be even or a guy was only a slight favorite and it turned out to be a romp, I mean fights that going in you knew it was a mismatch.

    • Oscar De La Hoya-Yori Boy Campas
    • Floyd Mayweather-Arturo Gatti
    • Marco Antonio Barrera-Mzonke Fana
    • Oscar De La Hoya-Julio Cesar Chavez 2
    • Marco Antonio Barrera-Kevin Kelley
    • Roy Jones-Julio Gonzalez
    • Mike Tyson-Peter McNeeley

    Hopkins/De La Hoya.

Just seeing Hopkins tower over DLH in the face off was a sight to see.

Barrera vs kelley was regular HBO wasn't it? I think you are thinking of Barrera vs Fana. To add to your list

    Trinidad vs Wright

Wasn't really a mismatch on paper (though it was on the night admittedly)

    No, Barrera-Kelley was actually PPV.

The Tito fights just turned out to be blowouts, but going in, they were expected to be competitive fights. Especially Wright-Trinidad. That was like a pick-em with the "experts" and fans. I think Tito might've actually been the betting favorite.

I thought it was a mismatch the moment it was signed but Hatton fans thought I was crazy.

I wasn't even a particularly big Hatton fan but I got caught up in all the hype and actually thought it would be competitive (should of known better from the Collazo fight)

when i was young, i thought the holmes-cooney fight was going to be a total mismatch and it actually turned out closer than i thought
