I swear the amount of times I've heard Calzaghe say 'only big fights from now on' and then he fights a Podwill or a McIntyre or a Bika in his next bull**** defence....I remember him calling out Jones and Hopkins after the McIntyre fight in 2001, who did he fight next? Charles Brewer

I think it is unfair to look this way at a fighter who has yet to fight a top 175 pounder.

Joe has only achieved more at SMW because he stayed there for 10 years taking easy money against bums, simple as that. Jones went to 175 then heavyweight. If you offered Joe a fight against a heavyweight belt-holder I suspect the stench of his **** would travel from the Welsh valleys right across to Norwich.

You seem to have this idea that Calzaghe has an iron chin, which he hasn't - he's been down before in his career and he's fought nowhere near the calibre of opposition that Benn and Eubank faced - in my opinion. If Calzaghe had been around in the late 80's I'd bet we wouldn't even be talking about him now.

no, i'm not being sarcastic at all..i'm dead serious. Jones gets massively overrated when people say in his prime he would have massacred guys like dawson and calzaghe, who are more talented and gifted than ANYONE jones has fought.
