Jones is an overrated fighter, yet the over the hill version of him is the best fighter on Calzaghe's resume....oh wait, the over the hill version of Hopkins is on Calzaghes resume also!!! Wow!
Was at another site for a while, left that place too. I think he hated forum politics and I guess all the trolling.
He was, in his opinion, spending too much time on here and took an extended break. Too bad. With Kg0208, he was the best boxing analyst on here.
Are you talking about the same Hopkins that ducked Calzaghe in 2002 ? You mention an "...over the hill version of Hopkins..." Would that be the same over-the-hill dude who put a one-sided beating on Pavlik when he was six months further over the hill ?
top 80 fighter, if he would have beaten Trinidad and Ottke he could have been top 30. there is no doubt JC had skills, he beat many great fighters and world champions but he did also fights some fighters purely for cash instead of for the glory... which is fair enough.
Ottke didn't want to fight outside of Germany, where he had a number of notable biased decisions. Many believe that Reid was robbed by German officiating, and Calzaghe has beaten Reid. As for Trinidad, is that a typo ? Surely you can't be serious in stating that a win over Trinidad would do anything for Calzaghe's resume. Tito was a great, great name at 147 and even at 154. But at 160, he has little to cheer about. And nothing whatsoever at 168. Did you mean to to say somebody else ?

Boring cliche alert. I hadnt realised boxers past is basically a CV (or a resume as idiots put it). Its about performances just as much.
