PBC was sure Spence Crawford would be 1 sided and it was...just not the direction they imagined. The hilarious thing out of all this are the PBC shills. Theyre not as prevalent on these boards but Jesus what a pitiful group. They spent the last half decade belittling, persecuting, and hating on certain fighters because they werent in a specific promotional company...as if any one of those twats were beneficiaries of PBC. The real laugh is that they missed out on following legitimate generational talent and ATG in Bud Crawford. They worked hard to belittle Canelo too and only become vocal about him when they think they have a fighter that can beat him (see Plant and Benavidez). And now theyve begun a smear campaign on Inoue (who should sue Floyd for defamation, honestly) all because of the praise he's receiving. Keep in mind all the negativity and hate from PBC is born out of jealousy and insecurity. They whine and cry after Porter and Spence lost, after Wilder lost, after Fulton lost, after Plant lost. They cheered like Cabbage Patch Kid Davis won Olympic Gold after beating Ryan Garcia (w a goddamn rehydration clause and catchweight...) when neither was needed, but again speaks to self self-confidence levels.
You guys root for and against these promotions like they're wrestling factions and it's the weirdest **** ever. PBC seems to be putting on good high level fights. That's all we as fans should care about. Who cares if their fighters win or lose.
I agree. Its a modern phenomenon mostly with the younger crowd I assume. They treat them like foot ball teams so weird and dumb. Even dumber is how they still bash the PBC when they have been signing the biggest names in the sport and delivering the biggest best fights of the year, yet I see idiots talking about how they are on their last legs. If Floyd publicly suggested Inoue is using PEDs that is defamation of character. Unless Floyd has some information or knowledge that we dont know (he doesn't) then he's slandering Inoue's name. Open and shut lawsuit/settlement
I agree that's it's baffling when boxing fans seem to get caught up in some kind of weird tribal like support for one promotional out fit or the other. Whether it be the PBC crew or the Matchroom crew, or lovers of Golden Boy or Arum, it really makes no sense. What fans should care about is promoters making good fights, ensuring the best fight the best. What I do disagree with is that PBC being a promotional outfit that regularly does this. All of them protect fighters at times like Matchroom now with AJ ensuring they don't risk a loss before a fight with Wilder. But PBC seem to do this as a part of their business model, hence why Joshua/AJ is only probably going to happen now when lets be honest both have lost and been exposed as less than they were hyped to be and so now the fight is meaningless in terms of who the best is. Same with Crawford/Spence that fight should of happen back in 2018 or 2019 when Bud moved up not 5 years later.
