Al Haymon is the worst thing to happen to boxing, far worse than Don King or anyone else you can name. He had hundreds of millions in hedge fund money at his disposal to bleed HBO dry and force them out of boxing. This alone should have been investigated. For $12/month you could get great boxing cards with quality matchups on a regular basis, and nobody before or since has had anywhere close to the quality telecast that HBO had. For the marquee matchups they'd go to PPV for $40-$50. After Haymon dismantled that, every mid to high level matchup is now PPV, with the high levels being $75+, and a tiny fraction of fights are now cross promoted, everything else stays in house. Haymon and PBC caused this. He should be locked up, period.
In the PBC business model pioneered by Floyd the fighters are their own bosses PBC just manage them. All PBC fighters are their own bosses including Canelo.
