PBC Corruption with video proof!

What about the feather fisted punch that the Top Rank paid Ref allowed Lomachenko to hit Rigondeaux with after the bell. Not sure how that wasn't a point deduction.

 

This is actually a good spot, and it does make a little difference. However, if you run a stopwatch from the bell to start the round, the bell to end it is still rung about a second early. Gassiev connects his last punch right on the 3 minute mark, where the bell should have been. Shots landed on the bell are good.

 

Could be corruption or just human error, but either way Gassiev ought to have Thomas' cherry on his coup-stick. It being a NC doesn't exactly do him any harm (except that his KO rate would be slightly higher were it officially counted) but it does protect Isiah and kept his marketable "zero" intact, albeit briefly; if the aim was to protect him, then him subsequently getting shut out twice in a row is poetic justice on the PBC.

 

I would imagine most rounds are a second early or a second late in ending. Usually you just don't notice because it has no effect if a round lasts 179 seconds or 180 seconds.
