I don’t think so. About the same. Aside from the car wreck, he hasn’t taken much punishment in the ring. He’s always been a good technical boxer, not a bad speaker. He’s better than Tank although Tank was probably slurring from the time he spoke his first word.
Something seems off with Spence. I really think they’re taking a calculated risk with Garcia. Option A: take a tuneup fight for less money and risk an upset due to lingering effects from the accident. Option B: fight Garcia for good money. If Spence wins, he moves on to bigger paydays. If he loses a close fight, he can use the accident as an excuse. If he loses convincingly, either by wide UD or T/KO, he can use the accident as an excuse. The biggest issue with a loss will be convincing Spence to call it a career and spare the long painful role of being a name for up and coming fighters to beat on. I think Garcia goes after Spence from the opening bell and beats him convincingly, maybe even by stoppage between rounds 9 thru 11.
Got to love how the play off the accident as just an accident. ****er got drunk, sped like a madman and crashed hard. And not even a single broken bone. What a lucky mofo. Errol did look kinda out of it in the interviews there. But he look completely fine here: This content is protected
