the numbers. Lucas v. Postal had 700K viewers. Broner v. Khabib had 500K viewers. GGG and Floyd's PPV were flops in relation to expectations. Sometimes there is too much of a mediocre thing. The best cards are on Spike for the PBC and that isn't watched by many casual fans. Quality over quantity sells the sport, not vice versa.
What exactly were expectations for Floyd and GGG fights? Pretty much everyone knew they wouldn't be breaking records
If HBO , Top Rank, and Golden Boy can't handle the competition then maybe they should get out of the business. Al Haymon is a businessman. Business is ruthless when you are outdoing the competition. Will Toyota stop selling cars because they are outselling Kia? No! So don't be ridiculous. The new guy in the business is burying the others too bad for them. Boxing was on for damn near 2 weeks straight. Thanks to PBC.:happy
Millions watched the Golovkin fight in Europe, Asia, Latin America and Canada. Only dumb U.S. casual fans weren't.
Canada ROFL. Nice try NO one was watching that ****. People in Montreal probably weren't even watching that ****, barely. All the other provinces, territories don't know ANYTHING about that fight, nothing at all. :hi: Nice try making **** up. I live in CANADA and I can attest that almost no one was talking about it. People were raving about the Jays, Elections. Not GGG vs Lemieux. :rofl
