    The similarities:

Both companies rulers are never seen on camera or give interviews.
Both financial providers micro manage the respective companies.
Both have face men. Sam Watson PBC- Dana White UFC
Both have banned reporters who bad mouth their companies.

    The differences:

Haymon pays his fighters well but is still criticized by the popular media(WP).
The Fertittas pay their fighters garbage and constantly brag about their yearly earnings which are in the billions. Praised by the popular media (WP).

Haymon is accused of having mismatches and scripted WWE type story lines.
The Fertittas actually pull fighters from the WWE (Lasner, Lashley, CM Punk) and promote on their PPVs and have fake story lines to promote their fights.

I was going to talk about the medias treatment of PBC vs UFC but I don't have the time but you all know the truth goddammit. Many of you watch both sports, I do, nothing wrong with it. Just be fair when comparing companies.

Mayweather pulled their hoe cards at UFC. They used his name to promote their fighters and called him boring but when he wanted to cross promote like they do with WWE guys, they ducked out.:-(
    Do you understand now.
They would rather be associated with pro wrestling than pro boxing.

Technically, Al doesn't own the majority of PBC. The hedge fund who backed him does. He's playing with house money. As far as I can tell, the Fertittas are the house.

This can actually an advantage for Al because of his managerial relationship with his fighters - he gets paid from the cut of each fighter's purse he takes from each PBC fight regardless of overall PBC success or failure, and he gets to dictate what those purses are (this isn't something that would typically be allowed in most companies with majority outside investor ownership because of the conflicts of interest it produces between management and ownership. Note that the point man for the hedge fund left after completing this arrangement and works for Al now.)

The tradeoff is that, if PBC goes through the roof, Al's overall upside is capped (that is captured by the equity shareholders), whereas the Fertittas' is not. Higher risk, higher reward. Al's hedged off some of the upside that could've potentially made him billions, but literally guaranteed himself millions in the process.

Pretty sweet deal, all in all.
