I bet you weren't so kind in your assessment of Mikhaylenko were you? Against a much better opponent.

So he fought like he fought against Khytrov then? He was negative in that IIRC. Maybe he was just getting some rounds in or trying to work on some things.:conf

Yeah I recalled correctly, very negative. But it would be stupid to try to slug it out with Ievgen.

Anybody know the story behind De Jesús' layoff?

He took five years off, returned last February and was out again for eleven months before tonight. One fight in six years. :huh

watched the second and while boxing on the back foot he is engaging a lot and mixing it up too, this performance wasn't negative at all, yet to see the last rounf though. id the second round 50-50, khytrov more aggressive but quigleys movement and especially he's head movement so far is phenomenal . and while khytrov gets a good flurry where almost everything lands on the gloves Quigley always seems to comeback after it with an eyr catching clean shot and spins khytrov

I don't consider this negative at all so far. Julio de la cruz, now that's a negative boxer:lol:

3rd round again iv to score it to Quigley, khtrov had trouble scoring any clean work and in the last 20 secs of the round Quigley had him on the ropes, quiglet had the better defense and could avoid so many of jhytrovs punches while khtrov for large parts looked sloppy

it was a close fight but a Quigley victory ,some Ukrainian guy was complaining on here at the time but it was a Quigley victory

I am scoring this using aiba scoring which Quigley had off to a tee, clean effective punching is the aim of the game, khytrov wonton aggression and throwing in bunches can come across as sloppy to the judges and quigleys great ring generalship is also looked upon highly

if that had been a pro scored fight it would have been a 50-50 fight a 2 rounds to 1 either way
