McDonnell is stalking, throwing jabs to head and body and clapping down with the right hand as Kameda bends forward and protects his skull with his gloves tented over it. Kameda is fighting in spurts, mostly shuffling away. Fast combos by Kameda, not really getting past the high guard of McDonnell.

Round 12

McDonnell is closing in, leaning against Kameda, digging rights under the elbow. Triple right on the temple by McDonnell as they separate. Kameda is just standing there, barely even moving his gloves to block, just scuffing his feet, moving away but not very quickly. Kameda seems a bit frozen & indecisive. McDonnell presses in behind the jab. Kameda suddenly comes alive with a combination, jabs and overhands, but McDonnell steps out of the pocket to let him miss. Nice 1-2-1-2 by McDonnell, scoring flush on the forehead. Kameda is raked by a long looping right on the eye, blinking as he trots away. Kameda leans into McDonnell, looking for a clinch. Soft uppercut on the inside by Kameda. McDonnell blasts him with a right hand on the cheek. Stiff jab by McDonnell. They grind shoulder to shoulder. Desperate push-off wide left hook by Kameda - bad gamble, missing, countered. McDonnell comes in with the high guard up and Kameda slashes with a light left hook downstairs. Kameda is unable to generate any power.
