Barthelemy is flicking the jab, pushing off with both palms when DeMarco tries leaning in with his shoulder and both arms crossed over his face, and hitting the body. Low blow from Barthelemy, warned. DeMarco given a moment. Time in. Barthelemy is jabbing and leaning partway over, back straight. NICE left hand lead clipping the jaw of DeMarco as Barthelemy leans far backward. 1-2 by DeMarco jumping in, ducked. Hard body shot by Barthelemy. DeMarco shoved into the ropes and flurried upon. Barthelemy steps out and does his quasi-lean in the middle of the ring, daring DeMarco to step to him.

Only way this doesn't end up a clean sweep on points is a point being taken from Barthelemy - which is on the cusp of happening.

Kinda like a pitcher almost throwing a perfect ballgame and then losing his concentration and walking somebody in the 9th.

Barthelemy is curling his right forearm over his belly and flipping his elbow up to intercept DeMarco's pawing jabs and 1-2s, and the occasional desperate charging right hook thrown above shoulder height while running. Quick right jabs by Barthelemy. Body shots by Barthelemy, some straying low. The ref finally takes a point. Time in. DeMarco eats a HUGE left hand on the button. Barthelemy starts teeing off, left hand and right hook standing in front of DeMarco. Barthelemy is backhanding and extending the right jab just enough for some leather-on-leather caresses. DeMarco cruising forward but not getting close.

Round 10

Barthelemy is swinging wide lefts, twisting in with them on the outside. DeMarco is keeping both arms raised and catching them, shivering Barthelemy off. Quick right jabs by Barthelemy, showing no urgency to finish the now unwilling and content to survive DeMarco. Barthelemy is slapping long lefts over the top on DeMarco's brow. Barthelemy is moving side to side with long steps and then falling in with right jabs and lashing lefts. Barthelemy curls into a Philly shell and waits on DeMarco. A few right jabs popped into the face by Barthelemy until DeMarco conveyor-belts himself inside and clinches. Barthelemy is jabbing into the wrists and sliding out of the pocket. DeMarco tries jabbing his way in and is caught with a bunch of short cuffing lefts and right hooks. Barthelemy flashing hand speed but very sloppy.
