PBC on Fox: Jarrett Hurd vs. Julian Williams & Paulus Natangwe Ambunda vs. Stephen Fulton RBR

Williams is backing Hurd into the ropes with a strong left jab. Williams is nudging the belly with the jab as Hurd stands upright, arms held low, using dips, twists and leans to roll with the Williams jab and not offering much resistance in counter-offensive terms. So far all Williams just working the jab, until Hurd lands a teardrop overhand right a little over 90 seconds in. Williams is put on alert by the shot but not discouraged from coming forward. A few weak probing jabs on the body from Hurd while bent over, not really connecting but not trying all that hard to either. Williams is bobbing up and down, slipping Hurd jabs and popping him with his own. Williams raises a horizontally turned left forearm to screen out a Hurd chopping two-piece and circles to his right.

I feel like I'm setting myself up for disappointment getting optimistic about that start from Williams, although it was everything you could ask from him... Swift always starts this slowly, and I can see Williams racking up several very similar rounds before crumbling tragically circa the seventh or eighth. Hoping otherwise, but...
