Charlo is a huge puncher if he can catch you flush, and Williams was willing to trade and paid for it, he over estimated his chin. Jermall would probably KO Hurd as well. So I wouldn't read much into that, also Harrison is a 9 round fighter and Willie stopped him, so not amazing that Hurd did as well, and Trout was coming off of a long layoff, and was rusty, the fact that Lara, who doesn't have an amazing chin, stood in the pocket and went to war with Hurd, something he wouldn't do against Canelo or Angulo, tells me, Hurd doesn't hit as hard as advertised.

Possibly, most of his opponents don't stand and trade with him, they're usually defensive, even Charlo wasn't taking many risks, I think he has thudding power, that can hurt you, just not the one punch variety. But like I pointed out, Hurd was visibly hurt a few times against Welborn, which is very worrisome. Is blocking punches with his face catching up to him?

I saw a pick of Hurd with Crawford the other day and Crawford looked way smaller next to him than he did when he was standing next to Usyk lol

We’ll find out tonight, you can excuse the Welborn performance coming off the shoulder injury. Anyone with his style will be in trouble at some point though. We’ll know tonight where he’s at , I hope he’s back to his best.

What troubles me is how Williams was dazed after that jab in round 2 vs Charlo

I didn't catch him hurt in that tuneup. Was he staggered?

He repeatedly got pinned on the ropes, and got the crap beaten out of him on several occasions, lucky for him, Welborn gassed after about 4 rounds, and is frail ro begin with.

You might be right and I'm still on the fence about betting Williams. However, I'm not going to change my pick in the prediction league. I just can't trust Williams chin to hold up for 12 rounds against Hurd. I think a puncher is a very bad match-up for Hurd (Jermall Charlo, GGG, Lemuiex, etc) but that really isn't Williams. His pop is probably similar to Lara's, which is respectable but not overwhelming.

Still, as much as I like Hurd he is really isn't that skilled. Maybe I'm seeing things wrong with Williams and he'll be on a masterclass without getting clipped.

    Is the Korobov-Aleem fight first?

Most likely. Although you never know, they might leave it off the televised card altogether.

You'd think after they robbed Korobov blind last time out they'd want to atone for their sins and showcase him.
