Every round further this lasts, the more we see Juárez vs. Iwasa fall by the wayside, as they don't usually go with the "long swing bout" if the main event makes it beyond the halfway point...

I actually thought Rivera did quite well in the 4th and 5th, but LSC had a good sixth round.

Kudos to Rivera for firing back consistently and making this entertaining.

    Round 6

Santa Cruz is jabbing from a drunkard's lean to either side. Rivera is jabbing insistently at the neck of Santa Cruz, piercing his guard and jackknifing him up a bit, sawing at his jugular but not able to get anything squarely on the nucleus of his chin, mouth or nose. Santa Cruz is consistently leaning & swaying past the flurries of Rivera while forcing him to stay honest and give a respectable berth with the high lariat right behind the jab, along with the continuous plethora of body shots. Rivera jumps inside shortly before the bell and opens up with several unanswered punches, hurting Santa Cruz and forcing him into a shell but numerically still falling short of quite stealing this one.

    10-9 Santa Cruz

    59-55 Santa Cruz

Per the Fox stat keeper, LSC has out-landed Rivera by more than double (188 to 90) through six and change...

Rivera losing his accuracy. He landed good shots throughout the first four rounds but LSC moving his head much better in the last three rounds, also blocking a lot of punches. He is also barely missing a shot. Good accuracy from LSC.
