Respect to Jiménez - look at the dregs he was feasting on before this step up, all losing records, and then he jumps at the chance to box on national TV even though he's stepping in with a 12-0 switch-hitting kid with 4" of height and 3" of reach on him.

I disagree, I see it the exact opposite Figueroa won close but clear. No robbery.

I'm okay with a draw or even 58-56 Figueroa like rorschach51 had, as there's budge room in those last two rounds for me. I just didn't see Figueroa landing his occasional pit-pat back-foot pot-shots, but he probably did technically make contact with a bit more accuracy than Jiménez did stalking and lunging. Kind of a weird clash of styles that got murky near the end. Much clearer-cut to score in the previous four. It was anybody's ballgame when knotted at 38 apiece, from there, eh, question mark.

Based on their styles at this time I think Jimenez has the more successful career to look forward to. With Figueroa's style he will have to fight the perfect fight to remain successful as he continues to move up in quality of opposition. His lack of power with the way he fights will be a big obstacle against better fighters with sturdier chins.

Duarn "The Storm" Vue, 12-0-2 (4) hails from the Midwest, and is part of a rather large ethnic concentration in the area (Wisconsin and Minnesota, read more about it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hmong_in_Wisconsin) and is fighting outside that zone for the first time here, with a contingent of his vocal fan-base in tow.

Alejandro "Popo" Salinas is a Youngstown fighter, with Kelly Pavlik's coach Jack Loew as his chief second, and has to date only lost to excellent still-unbeaten Mexican prospect Óscar Duarte, by SD.

    Round 1

Salinas is pounding Vue with overhand rights as the latter tries bowing his way inside. Vue is leading with the head and working the body and getting his forehead reddened as Salinas just wails on him, dropping right after right and mixing in some left hooks. Vue is shaken in the final minute but standing his ground and battling spiritedly despite giving up side and starting to visibly gas a little. Vue hops in and lands a sneaky jab before the bell.

    10-9 Salinas

Well listen to his backstory. Jesus. Fled from Vietnam to Thailand as a kid under a hail of bullets.
