Ramírez needs to score a vicious KO here just as punitive measure for Barthelemy's crimes against haircuts, and deterrent to future perps.

 

Round 1

Ramírez is skipping in and out, shooting a high southpaw jab at the chin of Barthelemy, which is hidden behind the curled left glove. Barthelemy is catching some jabs on his right forearm. Quick jab by Barthelemy as Ramírez is circling, catch-and-shoot style. Long left hands on the body by Barthelemy. Quick lean over and right hook downstairs by Barthelemy from outside. Ramírez is squeezing his fists together to pick some Barthelemy jabs out of the air, but misses with his own overhand left falling in and is Olé'ed into the corner.

Round 2

Ramírez is working his way in, digging rights on the body and getting caught with lefts behind a watch-the-birdie jab from the Cuban. Nice swirling razzle-dazzle left uppercuts by Barthelemy coming in to meet Ramírez. Clash of heads. Ramírez is having a little more success than in the first but can't consistently get inside on Barthelemy without walking through the crossfire and taking the brunt of the leather.

Round 3

Ramírez is remaining cautious, starting his combos from mid-range and getting his bones picked clean as Barthelemy just sits comfortably in his wheelhouse and lays traps, dotting Ramírez's face with jabs and sweeping out long right hooks as he glides back into the ropes and cracks some left uppercuts into the stomach. Ramírez starts rushing in past Barthelemy's shots and is able to graze him with some straight left leads, but nothing amounting to a turnaround in momentum.

Ramírez is a good fighter about to lose his zero to a finer athletic specimen (who also has the benefit of thte schooling provided by his family to know how to employ his athletic gifts to make this noncompetitive).

 

Round 4

Ramírez is fencing with Barthelemy, jab for jab, carving a path for himself and forcing in left hands. Barthelemy looking more and more discomfited, smirking with a little head shake, dead giveaway he doesn't like how things are going. Ramírez is letting soft jabs bounce off his chin while he dips forward and rips a right hook against Barthelemy's ribs, setting up a heavy straight left up top. Flurry from Barthelemy backing up.
