PBC on FS1: Anthony Dirrell vs. Denis Douglin & Jamontay Clark vs. Domonique Dolton RBR

This is butt-ugly.

 

Round 3

Douglin is working the body and stepping inside the looping rights of Dirrell. Steady feed of light left jabs by Dirrell. Douglin is walking through them and hooking inside. Dirrell tying up nonstop now. Douglin shaking him loose and working his free hands to either hip. Dirrell falling atop him and smothering.

Round 3

Round 4

Big right hand early by Dirrell. Douglin is falling into headlocks and/or jabs to his nose like a metronome. Dirrell bossing this frame but in hideous fashion, winging big fat quick looping shots from outside, falling in, hugging with arms spread wide to wrap around Douglin, spinning him out. Douglin is working uppercuts inside where he can and hacking up top but getting blocked or sloping off Dirrell's shoulder.

Round 5

Dirrell is walking forward and squeezing together his goalposts, letting Douglin punch himself out hitting arms. Douglin is getting a piece of the body when he remembers to go low. Dirrell is squatting in front of Douglin, taunting him with a loose guard. Douglin busts it open with a double jab and then hooks Dirrell across the jaw. Dirrell now spins Douglin into the ropes and flurries a little into the guard, using a bit of chicken-wing inner elbow on the outer time of the eye sockets with his back turned to the ref.

Round 6

Point swiped from Douglin for a shove out from a clinch. Douglin is dispirited and Dirrell seizes the opportunity, nailing him with a big right cross and sending him reeling into the ropes. Douglin recovers and steps forward into a wrestler's lock with Dirrell, hands on each other's necks & traps. They exchange body shots, and now Dirrell is cut badly on the outside of the left eye. We might be going to scorecards, as the physician is speaking to Dirrell but it appears Dirrell can not shake the blood from his field of vision.
