On now. (Edit: Here's the disclaimer) This content is protected This content is protected Up first, a battle of undefeated Light Heavyweights: Ronald Mixon vs Carlos Gongora, 8 rounds
Round 1: The fight begins with a bit of light sparring, as the two engage in a feeling out process and experiment with a couple of jabs. A couple of Mixon's jabs make partial contact but the Equadorian lands a sharp left hand about a minute in. Mixon shakes that punch off, but Gongora follows up with a 3-2 combo moments later. The right hook doessn't make contact, but freezes Mixon in place for the BIG left hand that bounces off his temple!!! FACE-PLANT!!! The stricken Mixon tries to struggle up but can only get to his knees before the ref calls it off! KO1!!! Gongora might be worth checking out, if he's gonna produce KO's like this.
Cunnigham busting out the medieval weapons metaphors in trying to describe a potential Spence-Thurman match-up. I don't dislike either guy's nickname, but the Katana vs Claymore would be an awesome battle of nicknames.
