Round 5

Saavedra getting beaten up in one corner after the other, making the full circuit numerous times in the round. Figueroa is just out-speeding and out-muscling him, throwing more accurate body shots and more of them and haranguing Saavedra with a lawn-sprinkling of jabs and overhand lefts on the crown. Saavedra just flailing at him in response sloppily with his back against the turnbuckle or ring ropes.

Round 6

Saavedra lands up top with an uppercut, but Figueroa answers in kind and hurts Saavedra, driving him into a corner. Figueroa is perhaps tiring a little, just grinding his right shoulder into Saavedra's chest to pin him into the corner and keep him trapped while he catches his wind. Saavedra tries a few long underhanded slaps at the belt line but doesn't have the angle to get anything on them from his position. Figueroa is digging hard under Saavedra's elbows with forklift right hands. Counter uppercut by Saavedra, again scoring but limply with his back on the ropes.

Round 7

Saavedra is reaching over the top lazily and catching Figueroa behind the head with the inner edge of his gloves, basically patting him like a cat. Figueroa just keeps fist-fucking his gut, pushing him wherever he wants him, landing at will, getting off head shots without taking a receipt. Figueroa just thumping away, treating this like as much of a different-levels gym-stud-versus-slab-of-meat sparring session as Saavedra seems to be.

Round 8

Saavedra is backhanding the nape of Figueroa's neck softly, turning southpaw himself, doing a moonwalk across the ring to escape further punishment. Figueroa just going about his business, lackadaisically assaulting the body and occasionally remembering to push a jab into Saavedra's face. Figueroa in no hurry to close the show here, letting Saavedra reach the final bell with no fanfare.
