    Round 1

Méndez is twitching and feinting, showing a jab but not pulling trigger as he draws the southpaw jab from Redkach and then jerks away. Méndez is flipping his bent left elbow up to intercept Redkach's jab and putting out a couple of light jab feints at the body. Redkach is rowing out his right, hoping to cause Méndez to move his guard so he can find a home for the cocked left. Méndez pushes Redkach's gloves into his forehead with a stiff jab after skittering away from a left uppercut lead and catching it on his lowered & crossed arms. Méndez nearly connects with a corkscrew right after planting a jab on Redkach's kisser. Méndez is blocking right jabs and gliding around the ring, finishing with a solid 1-2 before the bell.

    10-9 Méndez

Not a lot happened there. Both showing their expected game-plans and feeling one another out.

    Round 2

Redkach spears a left into Méndez's belly and follows up with a big looping shot up top. Méndez sways clear of it while backpedaling. Méndez is countering with potshot left jabs, mostly caught in the lead right mitt of Redkach. Méndez tries zooming in with a 1-2-3, but the power shots are blocked as Redkach raises his forearms and squeezes them over his face. Méndez is backed off with a left uppercut while attempting to clinch. Heavy right-handed body shot by Méndez catching Redkach barreling in. Méndez lands a clean right hand up top, on the lower jaw. Redkach smacks him with a right hook downstairs. Another solid, well-timed straight right by Méndez.

10-9 Méndez, clearer than 1st but still competitive

    20-18 Méndez

Hey guys, checking in from the mountains of Virginia, sitting in a log cabin surrounded by the sound of brutally loud ass crickets and frogs.

    Round 3

Redkach docked a point for a foul, sans warning. Not clear what it was. Replay shows Redkach did stiff-arm Méndez while flurrying him into the ropes, or could've been a borderline low blow. Time in. Méndez is playing matador, slipping and countering, eschewing the jab except to feint with it and scoring with the right hand straight down the middle. Redkach is reaching in with lefts and falling short as Méndez stays a step ahead of him. Redkach winding up right hooks and missing, not finding his range. Double jab by Redkach stepping in, setting table for a left on the body, finally getting a piece of Méndez.

    10-8 Méndez

    30-26 Méndez
