    Round 2

Benavidez is working the left hook into the body. Cobbs is trotting clockwise, keeping off the ropes. Double jabs on the go by Cobbs. Benavidez starts to really dig in with the left rip on the liver and club down with the right as Cobbs moves laterally. Cobbs traps Benavidez's right glove after it loops into his side. Benavidez works the left hook into Cobbs' face repeatedly until freed. Cobbs hurt by a series of long hammering rights. Benavidez won't let up. Cobbs starts to wobble as he flees, nearly turning on Benavidez. The ref jumps in.

    TKO2!

I was watching Cobbs fights, he looked jsut as bad vs Burris where he was dropped immediately and then stopped in the following round.

Burris has no am background and weak pro experience

you could tell he just didnt know what to do when he got hit

Benavidez at times followed a little too much rather than cut off the ring. probably could have ended it earlier if he stepped right when Burris would go left

    :thedevil1 Good, good.

At this rate we might get highlights of Alameda vs. Wilson, and I'm very curious to see how that played out.

Wilson is a tough southpaw bantamweight and came in having been stopped half a dozen times but almost never put out for a count. (as the young Mexican did tonight on the undercard, with a body shot)

He's a young pro. No point in critiquing him at this point.

Anyone leaning one way or another on the main event? I'm thinking Molina manages a win in his backyard.

Watching Rodriguez he has some good bobbing and weaving but he can be picky with his punches and struggles to get inside on good opponents

Rodriguez has more pro experience but Plant more am experience

I expect a cagey start for Rodriguez only to be timed worn down and stopped maybe in 4 roundss

Benavidez faces a big deficit in experience in either case. :think

    Probably harder-punching than either, though.

James really only has 1 decent win and leans forward a lot which will give a shorter guy like Molina more than enough chances to land

I think Molina has pretty quick and crisp punches just lacks devastating power. I think if he can get the right distance he can win

Do like the torque James gets on his left hook
