PBC on FS1: Miguel Vazquez vs Erick Bone RBR

Vazquez continues to control the fight with the jab. Landed a good right. As we expect from him, when he gets inside vazquez often ties up, and smothers Bone. Vazquez effectively moves away after punching before Bone can counter. Bone just not doing enough. Good left hook by Vazquez. 2-0 Vazquez.

Vazquez continues to box well. Shoe shines but moves away before Bone can get to him. Bone did land a couple rights mid round. Bone throwing more, finding his rhythm if not timing Vazquez well. I'll give Bone the 3rd, just because I bet on Vazquez and don't want to be biased. 2-1. 29-28 Vazquez.

 

Vazquez jabs, moves, sloppy inside but throwing more than Bone. Bone lands the odd counter right. Hard to score. Bone landed at the better rate, Vazquez threw more and set the pace. I give Vazquez the slight edge. 3-1 Vazquez. Vazquez's enjoy cooking and his fave fighter is Chavez.

 

Vazquez landing the jab better than he has since round 2. Not coming forward like first couple rounds though. Vazquez trying to finish every exchange. This round's a typical boring Vazquez round. Bone finished strong, but a definite Vazquez round. 4-1 Vazquez.

 

Bone is way stronger inside. Vazquez can't stay and exchange with him. Vazquez incidentally has the chest of a 12 year old.

 

Bone more active to begin round 6. Landed a good right as Vazquez came in. Vazquez still establishing the pace with jabs and flurries. Good left uppercut by Bone. Again Vazquez more active and sets the pace throughtout, but Bone this round with the few clear shots. Bone round. 4-2 Vazquez.

 

Round 7, Vazquez keeping it a Vazquez round, avoids the clear shots Bone landed the previous few. Vazquez with a couple good rights. Vazquez with jabs and faints. Hook to end the round by Bone. Too little too late, Vazquez round. 5-2 Vazquez. Not sure as in any Vazquez how the judges might have it.

 

Bone with a strong right to start round 8. Bone is the aggressor and the stronger puncher. Sneaky left by Vazquez. Vazquez back to some good jabs, then a right palm. Vazquez more active now. Definite Vazquez round, controlled almost throughtout. 6-2 Vazquez.

 

Bone can't defend against Vazquez's overhand right too well. Vazquez comes forward with combos! Lands several clean jabs. Trade hooks to the body. This is Vazquez's fight now, can't give it to Bone. Vazquez exchanging too much towards the end od the round, but he's throwing more and landing more. Vazquez round. 7-2 Vazquez.

 

10th and final round. Of course my hearts in my throat with money on Vazquez. Both throwing hard and going for it to finish. Announcers say it's up for grabs. Sure Vazquez fights are uneventful, but I don't see how Bone won 6 of the first 9. Good exchange. Bone land with a hard right, Vazquez responds with a left to the body. Bone forced this round into a brawl, and edges the 10th. 7-3 Vazquez for me, 97-93. Anyone else score it?

 

I don't see how this can go to Bone. Not a shutout, but Vazquez deserves this surely.

 

UD for Vazquez! 96-94, 99-91, and 97-93 are the offical scores. Bone deserved at least two, but fair otherwise. $$$ for me :happy
