The only boxing show in town tonight is not on HBO, not on Showtime, not ESPN but where is it at....PBC... Premier Boxing Champions, Al Haymon's baby!! Not only is it the only show tonight but it is on primetime, Saturday night, and on a major network, NBC.....it dont get more respectable than that!

Haymon has truly "handled business" and gave us what we all have been asking for years, real championship boxing back on network television! So why aren't you celebrating? Something about Haymon you dont like? You dont like PBC for some reason? Does Haymon somehow not fit your description of the man to save boxing? You mad?

Couldn't you have put this on my RBR instead of starting an entire with this nonsense.

Yeah you are kind of, you're praising Haymon for having boxing on NBC, I just put up a thread for the show you're most likely referring to.

    I FULLY AGREE.

I used to HATE AL HAYMON. DESPISE HIM FOR CREATING THE DIVIDE.

But, Ive gorwn to love him for giving us free boxing with solid competitive fights for the most part, in spite of them being mostly in house rivalries.
A little ****ed he's feeding Thurman and Porter to one another so soon. That SHOULD HAVE MARINATED after they were both p4p top 10s. :think

I like what haymon has done for the sport in this aspect... I don't entirely agree with how he has handled some of his fighters

As IB's heir to the RBR, CST80 is obliged to give us ALL the top fight cards he can, according to his personal schedule.

And in spite of whether or not he like's the platform, he's fair and balanced in his scoring.

Eat it on that comment CR. :yep

What's so great about a Fonfara beatdown showcase?

I disagree, they been around and fighting long enough, also Porter has already loss to Kell Brook so saving or letting him marinate is no longer relevant. The best case scenario is Thurman beats Porter and continues to threaten and challenge the best at 147

    I like Brook.
I mean it wholeheartedly. And I did in fact score Brook over Porter, and wider than some.

However, there was a serious lack of action in that fight, and it was evident from the opening bell that it was only gonna take a single shot for the outcome to be completely opposite. Brook spoiled, got the W and Porter dropped out of the top 5 b/c of it.

That said....Porter is a NATURAL LMW. Thurman is a NATURAL LMW. The LMW division is PACKED with talent ATM as everyone decent is boiling of ounces to avoid being labeled a MW and having to challenge an automatic KO loss.

NOW.....if both those guys were to hold WW titles, move up to 154 after the mass exodus to 160 when GGG moves N to 168, they could essentially win titles at 154 and have an EVENT. :think

Love em both, hate to see one lose to the other. Thats why I dont like this fight yet. There's no villain or rivalry yet. TOO EARLY. :nono
