The commentator is ragging on how unprofessional to leave your gum shield in the locker room and says to Ray Leonard "I mean, you'd never in a million years have done that, right?"

    "Actually, I did. Couple times."

    AWWWKWARD.

Tito is a decent regional-level fighter but yeah, not a world-beater and certainly not a puncher.

He's very much being fed to Diaz here. Let's see if he came to lie down or fight. (knowing Tito, probably the latter...not that it will help. Class tells...)

So apparently Díaz's reason for choosing boxing over baseball (which is king in his native DR) is twofold: he doesn't like the sun, or running - and he always loved beating people up. :yep

Danny looked small compared to Peterson.

    Round 1

Díaz is sitting low, rushing at Bracero, throwing lead lefts at the body, slipping jabs. Bracero is moving in, giving respect, extending a left jab but not following through all the way, letting Díaz duck and slip. A bit of showboating by Díaz even though nothing is really happening. Grazing straight lefts downstairs by Díaz.

    10-9 Díaz

    Extremely tepid opener.

Was Bracero in jail or something.. strange for a guy like him to not get a fight.. then after all the time off.. to take this fight.

BTW, this is pretty good cross-roads fight for an under (over?) card.

Probably had something to do with Peterson rehydrating overnight from 143 to 165.

Actually all three were decent "overcard" bouts on paper.

(Vargas was a mild step up for Spence Jr., as was Pryor for Browne, even though both got their asses kicked)

    Round 2

Díaz is stalking and getting low, rising up and headbutting the left palm of Bracero to immobilize the arm when Bracero sticks the jab, then poking the body with straights. Díaz is controlling range and altitude, dictating the pace, but not throwing a lot. Flush right hand by Bracero while backing into the ropes. Díaz hits him on the body a couple of times ducking the jab.

    10-9 Díaz

    20-18 Díaz

Farhood has it 19-19, giving the 2nd to Bracero.

The Spence/Vargas was actually fun watching Spence just tee off on a tough guy... Pryor sucks so bad it's hard to pull anything from the fight in terms of Browne's level.. he's just too awkward.

Still.. these 3 fights are better than a lot of the FnF have been over the last year.

    Tommy Gallagher is Bracero's co-trainer.

Usually Steve is on point. I'll watch the fight again but I thought Lamont dominated. The 1st half was harder to score because it was the body work vs the jab but I saw more success in the Jab of Peterson since Danny couldn't cut off the ring and really rip body shots like he's used to. On the inside he was just getting battered. The rounds Danny won were not as definitive as the rounds Lamont took.
