Ultimately, because he had that successful am career, and he is well off, it places him in really interesting position. He has nothing to gain other then notoriety for his boxing skill, it's a really neat place to be in. The whole "he trains himself" thing is not true. He has a trainer, or trainers. I've seen videos of him with multiple trainers, and not in the mitt work/yes man sense of the term, they were showing him stuff. I think he floats around, gains knowledge, assimilates it and moves on. Dude is absolutely a boxing robot.

    Round 5

Beibut dancing around shooting out his jab to the body, BJ throwing looping shots land little clean, Beibut clocks him up top a few times.

    Shumenov 10-9

Shumenov usually gasses so lets see what happens...

He seems to have carried the weight up better than I thought. I expected him to be slower and to have already gassed. Was wrong there. He claimed that he entered training camp at 220 when he was fighting at 175 and that he expected cruiserweight to be beneficial to him.

I'm a Shumenov fan but my prediction and betting interests have me skewed for this one.

Yeah. Not fighting smart at all. Not cutting off the ring against a guy like Shu. 1 shot at a time. Should he oose, he'll have no one to blame but hisself.

He probably doesn't hire trainers; at his budget, they're "boxing consultants"

I just remember hearing that from the Hopkins fight...I remember that he was extremely independent in handling his own business before (not common, but not unique), but the self-trained blurb really stood out. I thought it was crazy he hadn't hooked up with a name trainer for that fight.
