Szpilka is working the right jab into the giant fat pumpkin-shaped noggin of Cobb. Left hook by Cobb, following through with some elbow, getting rough and dirty in desperation. Cobb is dumped into the ropes by a left forearm smash/push. Clubbing lefts up top by Szpilka being set up by the right jab. Cobb is blocking yet his knees are shaking from the impact. Cobb goes down on a partially blocked left hand. The ref waves it off as Cobb remains on all fours momentarily and then struggles to get his equilibrium.

TKO2!!

 

Szpilka was the best part of this card and he wasn't even televised on Spike. (and his opponent was a 39 year old Butterbean clone)

 

IB Funfact: Cobb was Deontay Wilder's ninth opponent.

 

Szpilka was smiling awkwardly the moment it was called off. He seems a bit sheepish at having to be a part of a mismatch spectacle like that. Probably just as well he didn't make it on TV.

 

I want Szpilka vs. Dirrell, please. 8oz gloves.

 

Maciej Sulecki vs. Darryl Cunningham, 8 rounds @ middleweight

 

Cunningham, 40, was the comeback opponent for Andre Dirrell after the Abraham/Dr. Shaw Hi layoff.

 

Round 1

Sulecki is casually tractor-beaming a jab in on Cunningham. Wide rights by Sulecki, going through his paces. Cunningham pops a counter right jab while fleeing into the ropes. Sulecki punches through a lazy southpaw jab with a 1-2 and immediately follows with a looping right that dazes Cunningham. Sulecki flurries on him and Cunningham sags against the ropes, given a standing eight. Additional mayhem by Sulecki, but Cunningham survives.

Don't be impressed by Sulecki having recently stopped Grzegorz Proksa, by the way (on the Adamek vs. Szpilka undercard) - "Super G" looked worse than ever.

Sulecki's pop is really about exactly what you'd expect going by his KO%.
