Exactly. You'd think 'boxing fans' were in profit participation schemes with some fighters the way they go on nowadays - why does anyone seriously care about the viewership of a fighter? Fighters should fight how they wish to fight - each person has the ability to choose whether they want to watch the fight or not.

If you don't enjoy his style, don't watch.

Why don't you make the ring size the size of a football field then, if you're essentially stating that it doesn't make any difference.

If boxing is skewed so much that the guy who doesn't take any risks always wins the fight, you need to find a way to even the playing field or allow take down and stomps.

It osunded like a firestrom....I still dont undersatnd why Beterbiev took off half rounds and hell the whole 5th if I reall from the RBR:huh
I was hoping for another cold hearted KO, Beterbiev KO him and slowly turn his back and glance around over his shoulder as he walks away again:lol:, but sounded like he gave the kid too much time to recover:think yet he still finished HIM just not Mortal Combat style :vonne****:conf

Johnson tried to control the range with his jab and a few lunging lefts and rights and nailed Beterbiev with a few good shots here and there, hit him with quite a few jabs to the body, and then Beterbiev would close the round in the last minute big by getting him on the ropes and pounding away. That was pretty much the fight in a nutshell for the first couple of rounds, then when Beterbiev dropped him he went all out and may have winded himself a little and took the next round off and then came back with a vengeance and brutally stopped him in the 7th. A lot had to do with Johnson slipping shots and having a damn good chin.

    Canelo made the fight.

Landed enough hurtful punches(starting around rd 3) that made Laran think twice about staying in the same spot for more than a fraction of a second.

    Canelo made Lara run.

Canelo "landed" about as many punches as Laran "landed" except his punches did more damage.

    Canelo beat Lara.

What did laran do to fool you into thinking he got "robbed(SMH)"?

Cheers, was about to start hunting down Polsat, won't bother now.

So-so W, doesn't really do a ton for Szpilka. Keeping busy I guess.

A Johnson body shot earlier in the fight seemed to momentarily halt Beterbiev's aggression. I'd like to see future opponents touch that body a little more.

Szpilka faced a static punching bag but still there were some discernible changes under Shields that look promising. First and foremost, his movement was better, more fluid both with the feet and upper body and using a few more angles. He was already quite adept here for a HW, but I think he looks even faster now. This will contribute to strengthening his defense, which was a major liability. Secondly, his punch output was quite a bit higher, as previously he was more of a stalker/head hunter, which I think limited his output vs Jennings. So far so good under Shields and he performed up to expectations, dominating Quezeda every second of this fight, while not getting hit at all. With 6 losses in a row now, I think Quezeda should hang them up, as he can't even afford proper boxing shoes now.
