I think they'd have been disappointed Tsyzu misses out on the chance to KO Thurman before the Crawford fight. They need the buy-in of the casuals to make Tsyzu-Crawford a mega fight, and while Thurman is an inferior opponent to Fundora he's got vastly more name value.
I’m not fanboy of any promotional company to me that’s strange, but do people not just think al haymon knew Thurman was injury prone so was smart to have a fight line up as back up? Eddie Hearn did the exact same thing with pulev when he was supposed to fight aj he had takam on stand by training.
