Would it be better for us the fans of boxing to have just one sanctioning body?

But at the same time I'm not sure we would have the best look at how many champs come from outside the ufc

Yes, but one that includes everyone and in best case would be non-profit.
Having something like the PBC as the only one, like the title suggests, would be absolutely disastrous for boxing.

A PBC belt would be a horrendous thing, whether it was the only belt or added to all the other paper titles.

One belt and a globally run sanctioning body would be great, but not sure how it would be possible to keep the corruption out, even if non profit. Look at the ring belt, non profit, but hardly trustworthy... I mean a geriatric heart patient who's a drug cheat and feasted on sanitation workers can be 4th ranked and another guy who's tested positive for peds, recreational drugs then leaves the sport for 3 years gets to fight for the belt... that makes me sceptical that it's even fixable.

I don’t believe PBC/Al Haymon really know how to make the sport prosper to be honest.

The concept of having multiple world champions in a single weight division is mind blowing. Underminds the sport no end for me.

The States is and always has been the key to this. A National Boxing Commission which aligned to other National Boards could simply withdraw recognition from the alphabet boys. I should love to quote FIFA and the IAAF as examples !
