Chavez is considered a top 25 boxer ever with no ATG's IMO on his resume.

Well, JCC is a touchy subject, you do have a point, but his longevity and spectacular wins....put him on that status ..I will not say top 25 ATG, but definitively top 100 ATG...

By the way I do favor aggrssive fighter, but by all means I don;t dish on the boxers types..hell I would considered: SRL, Tommy Hearns, Roberto Duran, Sweet Pea , Meldrick Taylor, Camacho Sr. and Arguello master boxers also, they happen to crack too...

If we are talking all-time, I can take anybody you can think of and name you 10 boxers, throughout history, who would give them problems. Im sure we agree thats pretty easy.

Here is the thing, if you are comparing Floyd with 10 all-time best welters, that alone speaks to his greatness. Right now, Im not calling Floyd an all-time great. He is a HOF (almost everyone is), but no all-time great yet. If he beats Hatton and Cotto, then he would leave no doubt that he is the best fighter of his generation, and it would be hard to argue against a top 50 ranking at that point. Maybe even top 30.

But in reality, Chavez was not on top any longer than Jones. He became prominant in the mid 80's and went away in the mid 90's. Jones became prominant in the early 90's and went away in the early 2000's. Both were on top for a decade or so. Chavez fought many more times in his time span, but he also fought alot of guys with records like 19-10 for tuneups. And I don't think his wins are anymore spectacular than Jones, but that is a matter of taste.

I still dont see the 6 who beat him with ease. I think Hearns, SRL and Duran are obvious favorites, but thats about it, and I dont see those fights being easy at all, except for maybe Hearns. He matches up VERY well against all the others. I strongly favor him over Arguello, Camacho, JCC and Taylor (to a lesser extent). And yes I have seen them fight.

I think Hearns beats PBF easily. Duran as well at 135 only. Leonard would beat him, but not easily. And Whitaker is going to be a hard matchup for PBF to overcome. The rest are 50/50 for me, except I think Prior is the best ever at 140, so he would beat PBF most of the time. Not a clear enough sampling of him at 140...

Floyds already top 30 atg if he retired today. You cant argue with 6 belts 5 weight classes no matter what. If he would beat Hatton, Cotto and Williams, or another equally worthy fighter to replace the last 2, then he'd be top 10 without a doubt.

I will say this , if this makes any sence, JCC is on my top 100 ATG, because he beat guys like: Roger Mayweather twice at two separate weight classes, Rocky Lockridge, El Chapo Rosario, Meldrick Taylor twice, Macho Camamcho, Jose Lusi Ramirez, Greg Haugen, draw Pernell, Frankie Randall twice splitting wins...so his prime, he fought the best competiton avaialbe at the time, he didnlt dock anyone...he was Lineal @ 135 and 140..When he needed to stepped up his competiton he foguth the best available....RJJ didn't so that

We just don't agree on Jones competition. I rank Chavez in the top 20 ahead of Jones. But I don't view Jones competition the way you do. Some of the fighters you named I wouldn't rank any better than the fighters Jones defeated, and many were just as highly ranked. But fair enough.

SRL, Hearns, Duran , Pryor, Sweet Pea and Meldrick Taylor (toss up)....

Arguello and Camamcho will present problems for PBF that he has not seen...

Nah, PBF hasn't sniffed top 50 IMO. Belts mean something, but you can't use them as them as the sole reason for ranking considering how many there are. He only has 3 titles IMO.
