Honestly, If Mayweather doesn't fight either Mosley,Williams or the winner of Cotto/Pac he should retire again!

It means a lot, we all know Mosley is past it and has been for a while, it's still a good fight/win regardless. Mosley recently crushed Margarito in brutal fashion, who else hurt Margarito and backed him off like that?, not even Cotto(who was regarded a serious puncher going in) was able to back him off not even for one second.

Mosley coming off a victory like that doesn't make the fight pointless. Yes, people who have thought it was pointless if he fought him after the Mayorga fight but after Margarito Mosley showed he still has enough to give anyone hell.

If not Mosley then it's Pac/Cotto winner, if noth either man then who?. I know I wouldn't interest in a Berto or Spinks fight. To be on par with Pac, who's fighting Cotto, he should fight Mosley especially when Mosley has been calling out Pacquiao a lot lately. A win over Cotto for Pac and Mosley for Mayweather makes the fight even WAY bigger. Like Pac needs the Cotto win to make it bigger, Mayweather needs a win over Mosley IF he decides to fight someone else before Pac/Cotto winner.

shane is the best welter besides mayweather, its the most evenest match in the ring and on paper.id like to see mayweather fight shane or cotto.pac is to small and i think cotto will take care of him.

Actually Sugar Shane is the reigning recognized champion so beating him transfers that championship status. Kinda how it works - or Floyd can wait for a belt to be vacated and then fight a rising lightweight for it. Spin it any way you want - Floyd Mayweather is ducking Shane Mosley.

Aren't you basically saying here that for max respect, Floyd should fight Shane as soon as possible? Especially since he's coming off an impressive performance?

The argument that beating Mosely means nothing "because he's old" doesn't work. There will always be people wanting to discredit a win:
    - Mosely: too old
    - Pac: too small OR Cotto beat him
    - Cotto: damaged goods/too many tough fights OR Pac beat him

Floyd/Mosely is a big fight. It would make alot of money. There's no reason not to make this fight for January. Pac/Floyd might even gross more, but Floyd could make more fighting Mosely because he could get a better split.

Bottom line: Floyd has a great fight available that will make good money and he looks to be passing on it. As a boxing fan, it pisses me off.

Oh yeah when did he get that title? The linear championship at 147 is vacant. Vacated by PBF when he retired undefeated. Log off you don't know the sport.

Mosley isnt the champ at 147. Floyd was, but he vacated.

But he is the #1 WW, he is the toughest fight of Floyds career, and Floyd would shut up about every single hater he has if he stepped up and did his job.

If he doesnt want to do that, his own ****ing problem.

We go through the same **** every ****ing day here, when does it get old ? As a fan of boxing I think Floyd is the most talented in the sport BUT he has not proven himself to be the best in the sport. Hell to keep it 100 he hasn't even proven himself to be the best in his own division. He should have made the fight with Mosley before the fight was made with Berto because NOT making the fight only gives his critics more reason to attack him. Yes the big money fight is Pacquiao but even if Paquiao wins there is no guarantee Bob Arum or Freddie Roach will make a fight with Floyd. The guaranteed payday was with Mosley and that fight would have been huge because EVERYONE wants to see that fight regardless of what Floyd and his fans think. Honestly I see Arum sticking it to Floyd and making a fight between the winner of Pac/Cotto and Shane Mosley. The frustrating thing about all this is that Floyd can win these fights yet refuses to take the chances necessary to silence his critics.

Dude, your acting as if Forrest, Winky, and even Oscar were on Gatti (R.I.P.), Baldomir's, or Judah's level.

Just stop for a minute and look at it from this perspective. If you had the casual fan hooked on Margarito after he beat Cotto, just imagine the publicity that Margarito vs Mosley had prior to their fight. Now both hardcore and casual fans saw what Mosley did to the man (Margarito) who beat the man (Cotto). The casual fan would be more enticed to see Mosley, who is a fast and aggresive fighter, fight against the younger fighter (Mayweather) who has yet to fight an established WW fighter. Don't tell me this fight wouldn't do well. This fight would do extremely well with all audiences.
