PBF ducking Sugar shane?

Assuming that what Pacquaio said is true, (he has one last fight left) then Pacquiao cannot/will not wait for Mayweather. He will probably fight Mosley at a catchweight instead.

 

See, this is definitely the thing man. This belief would be a lot more sturdier had Shane not ducked Floyd a few year back. I'm not denying Floyd's avoiding Shane but it just seems a bit tit for tat, and I can't fathom why Floyd does not want to make this fight. It's absolutely simple to make, will make big numbers, and will train him up for Pacquiao (though I doubt staying active will matter for the guy til then), the only thing that's different is that Mosley is a much bigger challenge and there can't be any other reason Floyd would say no. He's done deals with Golden Boy, what, 3 times in his last fights? I'm pretty sure De La Hoya was involved with the Hatton one somehow too.

People can say what they want about Cotto, Margarito, Mosley, Clottey, Judah, say what you want about their losses, question their future, heart, loyalness and deception but the fact is, at least they ****ing fight, man. It's just greed.

I'd like to see both but if I had to pick it would be the pac fight.

no I'd like to see him fight the winner of cotto and pacquiao. if pacquiao wins then he's fighting the best welter weight out there regardless of what weight pacquiao came from. and if cotto wins then...well same situation he's fighting the best again.

 

Did you read the article you posted. It said that PBF does not want to fight shane. which is find terribly disappointed.

Now in regards to 1999

-Shane turned down that fight with PBF becasue shane wanted to fight de la hoya which happened in 2000. at that time, the fight with de la hoya, jumping up 2 divisions was considered to be the much harder
challenge

-In 2006, shane did not fight floyd so that floyd so that oscar can get the first shot at him. Floyd thought shane was a shot fighter and wanted his chance at himi but two things happened. shaned challenged floyd after floyd beat oscar, he just had to let his boss fight first, and then shane starting destroying some fighters and then PBF realized that shane still has fights left in the tank and it was too risky.

Clearly to me, PBF is ducking shane.

 

floyd fought oscar in may 2007. at which point did he realise that mosley was destroying his fighters and was too much of a risk?

a) when he beat callazo by decision?
b) when he lost to cotto by decision?
c) when he went thru hell with mayorga and scored that knockout just about?
d) when he beat the **** out of margo?

I think the answer is margo performance and the rest werent anything special. so no that wouldnt scare floyd.

The ONLY thing Floydi s ducking is smaller paychecks. He WILL fight Pacquio, destroy him, and he WILL receive one of the biggest paychecks in history.

When will you morons understand that boxing is BIG business, huge business. World class fighters fight for the biggest pay days they can get. Shane wants PBF for a payday before he retires, plain and simple. Paydays 1st, legacy 2nd, it will remain the same until hell freezes over. Get used to it.

a.) He outclassed collazo, young slick southpaw who had hatton out on his feet at 147 at one point.
b.) OK fair, he lost a close decision, but cotto did not have an easy time either
c.) He still KO'd mayorga who is a BIG two handed puncher and much bigger than shane. a KO is a KO sorry. and he did not go through hell wiht mayorga, he had an awkward time. i would say that shane went thru hell with forrest.
d.) he beat the **** out of mayorga.

Bottom line is, aside from cotto, shane has looked like he stil has some tools to give any fighter problems on any night. i do agree, he has been inconsistent but after that margo fight, possibly he has hisn confidence and momentum? i dont know, ask floyd what he thinks.

Hell, even Cotto with PR behind him is a bigger fight. Cotto beat Shane too.

Shane has to wait his turn. Fight Clottey in Dec then sit back and wait to see who the last man standing is.

Shane is looking like a hobo begging for small change right now.
