Alright then, Margo shouldn't fight Williams then. He's got the Cotto rematch coming up, he can fight Clottey or Cintron again after that. I'm pretty sure the fans will give him a pass if choses not to fight Williams.

Lewis said Rahman was legally obliged to give him a rematch, and their was a clause in the contract citing that a rematch should be given if the fighter should lose, as there is in so many fights. Also HBO wanted the rematch. Lewis did end taking Rahman to court.

    1) close but clear. A pretty close fight is not that good a reason to give a rematch
    2) they aren't now, after Margo beat Cotto, but before noone was making a fuss.
    3) Margo is never hurt, Williams won the fight though, which is what boxing is about.
    4) Williams was Margo's mandatory. He earned that shot.

Now that Margo beat Cotto, a Margo vs Williams rematch makes sense for Williams. Before, not so much.

I just said Margo shouldn't fight him if he doesn't want to. I don't see why Williams has to beat other top dogs in order to prove he deserves a shot at Margo, he already beat Margo. If Margo doesn't want to even up the score, that's fine. Williams can take on Clottey and Berto. If he beats them, he will have cleaned up the division and he can move up in weight.

nah, if Williams stays at WW..needs to try and fight him.. but Williams made him wait, so i dont have a problem with Margo making him wait right now.. I want the Williams fight, just think its stupid and silly that all the former FMJ fans (current PW fans) are saying he is ducking him lol

imagine a situation where Margarito beats Paul Williams, and then Paul Williams beats Cotto.

Then Margarito calls out Paul Williams for a rematch, but Paul Williams turns him down, saying that Margarito didn't give him an immediate rematch after he won the first fight.

    What would you think?

Exactly, the best time for the rematch is right now. Both guys are hot major names in the division and making that rematch makes more sense than a rematch with Cotto.

How can Margo duck Williams, he already fought him? Anyway, who knows how much longer Williams is going to wait around on Margo. If Margo is content on making him wait based on principal, that's his decision. However, when Margo decides he's ready, Williams may already be gone from the division. Remember, Williams already beat Margo. Fighting him again is gravy at this point for Williams.

It has nothing to do with being FMJ fans, it's called discussing boxing in general and as far as I remember you guys and the media labeled Margarito as the most feared man on the planet. People questioning those claims is only normal when it's obvious that there are guys that aren't as scared as you guys claimed they were and two of those are guys that already beat him.

The reality here is the former Margarito fans jumping on the Cotto bandwagon as soon as Margarito fell short against Williams. I didn't spot you during that time?, were you on another alias?

He isn't retiring because he can't afford to, only 2 months ago did he score his very first major victory, retiring right now will be criticised forever.

Waiting on Paul Williams isn't a wise decision, especially when Williams is already showing interest to move up to either Jr. Middle or even Middleweight. Waiting on him means securing that the man either comes weight drained or just can't make the weight anymore and that's yet another loss left ignored by Margarito.

I'm pretty sure if the tables were turned, if Margarito called out Paul Williams for a rematch, but Paul Williams turned him down, saying that Margarito didn't give him an immediate rematch after Margarito won the first fight, you would be saying PW is scared of Margarito. Is that true or false?

That's because I pick up all the garbage you said and put it in your face, now you simply can't handle the truth.

The garbage poster is the one with 10 aliases. :deal

Margarito was offered 4 mil and turned it down. There is no way to spin that.

Paul Williams will beat Margarito again if Margarito quits ducking him :deal
