 At Maywaethers request, a ESPN link won't work as a source simply because they are we'll know Floyd haters, and Manny sympathizers

But like I said Shaef said the fight was a 147 ifght with simply a penalty for every pound over 144. GBP did Marquez real dirty

Cotto the no1 154 fighter in the world?

And Marquez was very highly rated at the time too. Still is. I have him p4p no 3.

Seriously guy, just stfu. Ligaments already linked the sources. Floyd lost 300k per pound, its a fact, yet you're still disputing this? Just stfu.

what does this have to do with floyd saying before that pacquiao was fighting his leftovers and now he is doing the same thing?

it's just like his new quote where he said that he don't fight at catchweights when he did it once and even failed to make weight.

**** off, you silly little wanker. You telling me floyd lost 300k per pound is irrelevant considering I already had full knowledge floyd was always coming in at the WW limit. If that was the price to pay to make it a WW fight, then so be it, but floyd always considered the fight to be held at 147.

The fact that the contract had so many loop holes in it actually confirms my point. The likely hood is golden boy screwed over marquez and not mayweather as floyd had made it known several times before the wednesday Marquez apparently found out that he was coming in at the full weight limit. :good

pacquiao dropped marquez 4 times and won a SD over him. just like floyd winning a SD over oscar, without dropping him, and yet floyd claims that oscar is his leftover. so how about cotto? why is floyd fighting him next? i thought pac is only doing the leftover business?

No, he uses xylocaine and makes other fighters fight at catchweights.

Yep. He tried to drain Mayweather, just like Poochiao likes to do with his opponents. He thought he was going to get over. The joke ended up being on him. He got $600k for his troubles though. That's not a bad deal.

    FIGHT FACTS
Who: Floyd Mayweather Jr. (39-0, 25 KOs) vs. Juan Manuel Marquez (50-4-1, 37 KOs), 12 scheduled rounds

    When: Sept. 19

    Where: MGM Grand Garden Arena

Weight limit: Top secret, so far

When it was revealed this week that Miguel Cotto and Manny Pacquiao will fight Nov. 14 at the MGM Grand, it was hard not to notice one particular aspect of the announcement.

Both men agreed to meet at a “catch weight” of 145 pounds, two pounds below the welterweight limit. The 145-pound mark was an acceptable compromise for Cotto, a welterweight for the past three years, and Pacquiao, who has never weighed more than 142 pounds for a fight.

Of course, the weight limit attached to a big boxing match is typically considered a piece of rudimentary information, like the date of the fight, or the venue — or the name of the tequila company that’s sponsoring the event.

Yet the promoters of another major bout scheduled for the second half of the year — Floyd Mayweather Jr. versus Juan Manuel Marquez, Sept. 19 at the MGM Grand — have been unable, or unwilling, to state the weight limit for the fight.

This has created an air of mystery around Mayweather-Marquez that’s either intriguing, troubling or downright bizarre, depending on how you look at it.

Mayweather, returning to the ring after a layoff of nearly two years, made it sound as if he’s planning to push the 147-pound welterweight limit. Training at 149 to 150 pounds, Mayweather dismissed a suggestion that he’ll be required to reach a lighter catch weight.

Like I said it was goldenboy who stitched up marquez with the contract, not floyd.
