Ive been watching Floyd since the olympics and have always been impressed althouh i have to admit ive thought he was in over his head a couple times I thought Chicanito was to experienced and he dominated him (wrong!!) Thought Coralles would beat him(wrong!!) thought Oscar would get him(wrong!!) Was leaning toward Shane last night(although Outcome didnt surprise me) WRONG!!!

Although ive been of the opinion that he could beat Manny i was only 60/40 on that i am know thoroughly convinced hed put a serious ass whupping on Manny.

I think its a combination of great talent, combined with ability and his work ethic! But Nasim was very gracious and so was Shane!

Floyd is beyond special. I don't like him or his choice of opposition but he is almost supernaturally gifted. All I hear Uncle Roger ever say is "keep boxing that mother****er" so I don't know if his in fight advice is all that valuable but Floyd always comes in prepared.

trainers dont just work the corner, uncle roger comes up with the gameplan, chooses the sparring partners and pushes floyd

roger wasn't the one saying keep boxing that mother****er, it was that know nothing ****** ellerbe who started panicking and repeating "just box, box box"

I wonder if there would be any noticeable differences at all if Rog gets put away for awhile and Senior takes over....

    floyd will be MORE defensive

roger is an all around trainer, he works on defense and offense, mayweather sr is more defense orientated.

I share the same sentiments, Roger dissed Manny Steward, basically saying that Manny didn't know what he was doing. Manny has built champions from scratch, Hilmer Kenty, Hearns, McCrory, Moorer, etc. Floyd is super talented and Roger takes more credit than he deserves. I'm wondering if Roger tried to join Kronk back in his Michigan days and was rejected. He has a lot of animosity for Manny Steward.

Jealousy runs deep in the Mayweather's blood,Rog can only dream about having half the resume Steward has as a trainer.

He inherited the finished product of his brother's work and since then all he has to do is help Floyd out with the pads and say a couple of "mu****as" in the corner and let Floyd be Floyd.

Pretty much. There's only but so much you can tell Mike about how to play ball at the stage in his career when he's already on his 4th championship. If you're Phil Jackson you just sit back and enjoy the ride while everybody on the outside lookin' in labels you a guru.

Floyd truly is special. The guy was born to be a boxer. Its in his blood, he was raised up with a glove in each hand. You can see how the kids in the Mayweather camp are. Even though they are just hitting pads, its still potential
