Nobody said Hatton was a top 147 lb fighter. They keep saying that POUND FOR POUND he was better. Why is that? Because he is the undisputed champ at 140 lbs! You say Hatton is bad at 147.... well isn't Cotto worse at 140? Its the same thing.

In fact, if Hatton stayed in shape between fights he could easily fight at 135! Does anyone think he would not be able to make a splash there? Thats why its called pound for pound.

Against a true welterweight Hatton is at a disadvantage of size and strength... if Hatton had fought Cotto at 147 I would understand you complaining about him as an opponent. BUT, Hatton fought FLOYD. Floyd started his career at 130 lbs. Many would say that is his best weight. Therefore fighting Hatton at 147 is a good matchup. Hatton is not weaker at 147 than he is at 140.... he is just against stronger opponents than he is used to.

I've seen you post that "point" of yours about Hatton to make Floyd look bad a dozen times over the last couple of days and each time I point out why it isn't relevent. So why don't you stop spouting off that bull**** and acknowledge that Hatton not being able to beat someone like Cotto has nothing to do with his fighting Floyd.

This ganchozurdo guy is a TROLL. He should just be ignored.

but he is a scrub when you compare him to the best the WW division has to offer, at least you are admitting that FRAUD took the path of least resistance when he took on hatton at list you are making some progress

No No no. Stop trying to put words in my mouth.

WHY DOES IT MATTER WHETHER HATTON IS A TOP WELTERWEIGHT?

Floyd happens to be a 130 lb fighter who has MOVED UP in weight. Therefore any legitimate challenger (and you can't get more legit than an undisputed champ, and pound for pound top 10!) who is a natural 130-154 lb fighter is a legitimate opponent.

If Hatton and Floyd had fought at 140 lbs would you be bitching about Floyd fighting Hatton??

And last, nothing about fighting at 147 makes Hatton weaker than at 140, its the fact that he's fighting guys bigger and stronger than he is used to.

THEREFORE - Hatton was a legit opponent for Floyd.

Nobody complained about Floyd fighting Hatton until AFTER Floyd knocked his ass out!

    :think :think :think :think

WTF did this thread pop back 4 anyway?:huh

Yes Hatton was a LEGIT OPPONENT! He was the Champion at 140 and Floyd wouldnt take his title there. SO? It was necessary and really should have happened at 140 but Floyd got his wish for 47.

    In the end? 40 or 47? Floyd Ko'd Ricky:good

Which brings me to the QUESTION??

WTF are we talking bout Floyd and Ricky fo??

Tryin to build controversey, ineterest, :huh

It aint working:nono Floyds still up to the usual routine:yikes

"MAKE THE ****ING FIGHT" PBF 24/7 Lets LESSON LEARNED 2 MIguel Cotto shall we?:rasta

See **** like dat? Know u dont dont **** bout that:yep

Hattons frame is built to 140. I dont give a **** what weight he ballons 2, his HEIGTH and REACH limit his effectiveness as he moves up where he'll invariably face much taller/bigger opponents.

First Mayweather fans use Collazo as excuse and 47 as why Floyd shouldnt fight and spend a year or 2 defending OFFERS and BS now turn around and try to use Hattons a real WW??

    :patsch :patsch :patsch

    STFU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:hi:

I think most of ESB, deep down inside, they know that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is an accomplished fighter, a great one, probably one of the top-5 of his era. A great talent with a blend of speed and skill that hasn't been seen very often. His opposition, though he has not faced a couple of key names, is tight, with wins over De La Hoya, Hatton, Judah... it goes on.

I guess some people are turned off with the ignorant publicity stunts he'll pull ("MONEY" MAYWEATHER!) or his safefty first style in and outside of the ring. But you've got to admit he is one of the finest boxers of his time.

I'm talking about Hatton because gachozurdo keeps bringing him up. I replied to his posts.

And you're missing the point again. Hattons frame does give him a disadvantage against some welterweights... but Floyd is not one of those, as Floyd is NOT a natual welterweight. Thats all I was saying. You totally just read my post wrong, chill out. Why would I post two posts in a row, each with diffferent ideas behind them?

More like MOST TOP WW's:good In addition to his FRAME? His style is also a hindrance when trying 2 outmuscle/slug bigger men. So when you combine frame and STYLE? Hatton has no real business and consideration at 147.

Cotto isnt a giant but HE CAN BOX and uses/understands angles and defense. Compare his frame and style and he IS a WW vs Haztton who'sa 140 fighter.

It wasnt one point and there was two posts which indicate I wasnt just talking to you:nono I specifically pointed yours out because some of the statements indicated. You dont know what ur saying:yep

Floyds chosen 47 and its the peak years of his career. I know all floyd fans say he's natural 130:lol: Rarely does one ever stay where they start and Floyd complained long and hard while making 30 and 35. You definitely cant say the pathetic stop at 40 is in any way his noteworthy or natural weight either. 147 is where Floyd has chosen to be during what should be the peak of his career.
