I say no. PBF knocking Mosley out will be more impressive than what Pac did against Clottey, but then again, what Pac did to Cotto was more impressive than what Mayweather did to JMM, so they will be even.

Some people might agree, only vice versa...

KO? I'd be inclined towards it.

A knockout of Mosley would make me think real hard on giving Mayweather back the P4P #1. Especially since he never lost a fight to lose it.

No. Pac was also impressive against Clottey. If it was an even fight, then I would give the nod to PBF if he knocks out Mosley.

A KO, and like you, I'd be slightly inclined towards it, but like I said, Pacquiao dusted Cotto in far more impressive fashion than Mayweather did Marquez, so that negates PBF's impressive win over SSM, which if a KO - would be far more impressive than what Pac did to Clottey. In other words, they would be even, which would be no real reason for Pac to lose his #1 spot.

Yeah, I think Manny's story is more P4P worthy with the weight classes and opposition.

But knocking Mosley out? With the leather landed on him by forrest/cotto/mayorga/vargas/DLH/ and then May gets the KO?

    That would be unbelievable.

with a straight up KO he would be making a massive statement. Does he take the p4p throne? hard to say. Definately could make a case. I'd be inclined to say that in this situation, yes, because he would be showing a dimension that I don't really believe he has.

No, Pac's performance in his last five fights cannot justify him droping down a place based on 2 performances from Mayweather, even if 1 was an extremely impressive one from Mayweather.

I wonder what Freddie Roach's statement would be if Mayweather actually knocked Mosley out?

No. The only way to depose the man in possession is to beat him, if they are in the same division (it was obviously different when lhw Roy Jones deposed ww Oscar in the late 90s).

When Pac was crushing Morales in '06, Floyd was wasting time fighting Baldomir's left-overs then the great Baldomir himself, and Pac didn't automatically overtake him just because he brutalized a big name. It takes more than one better opponent to depose the reigning king.

The Kayo is there for who ever risk doing what it takes to get the Kayo, Shane is slurring lately and is up there in age, if Floyd knocks him out the win is good but it does not get that #1 spot P4P back

Mayweather's last 5 fights would certainly compare with Pac's... And Mayweather did retire for a short time to even be dropped from #1 spot... A knockout over a tough fighter with a iron chin, would be a half way legit reason to give it back to him in my opinion.
